I've been somewhat considering getting it, but honestly, I feel like DooM has been ruined ever since DooM 3 came out. They need to get rid of the flashy colored armors and gun camo bull**** and colorful ground pickups and make a game for the adults who grew up playing the original versions, not a game for CoD kiddies.
I'm legitimately sad at the direction this series has taken.

Fortunately, the new Unreal Tournament 4 is legit. If you want a real shooter, go play it. It's completely free.

I thought it was awesome. For a beta, on ps4 the multiplayer was really polished.

Footage shown is early game but it looks more Doom 3 than Doom to me.

Single player is totally fappable!

Multiplayer is passable, then again I never played DOOM for DM, that was Quake Area and it sucked.

I'm cool w co-op.

But FPS vs other humans, I'll stick to CS:GO :p

I wasn't too sure watching the dev footage but seeing the Gamespot videos was a big relief mate , the shotgun looks like a beast and sounds as it should , the beasties look great especially in the Hell footage.

I think the other poster was getting the numbers mixed up. Most AAA titles are indeed made for console because that is their highest source of income, whether it is from sales or funding to developers for timed/ total exclusivity. Without a doubt pc gamers are/have taken over console gamers but the sad fact is that most AAA games are made for console then ported over. Whereas a lot of pc gaming consists of early access and indie games....

I just finished watching about 15-20 minutes of Dooms single player campaign, I like what I see! It appears to take elements from all sorts of popular FPS and TPS games, for example it appears as though strategic de-limbing certain opponents is available like shooting the legs off of enemies is apparent. Some of it appears to be almost like quake 3 single player arena in a way. I don't think it looks like a halo or cod clone at all and I hope the rest of the game is engaging.

I'm not , if you'd have read the OP you would have seen that my graphics card isn't supported for the Beta , the game has a multiplayer mode so it wasn't just made for single player.

Sorry bud but my alter ego besides being a kick ass honey badger is my sweeter side..., santa claus and i don't just give out the gtx 970. JK dude, I hope I find a job soon so I can actually buy the game this is getting pretty bad around here in the job department no one needs welders in my area and the ones that do pay less then that of an employee at mcdonalds and I can't afford that either... **ck
