LOL, while my PC may have gone to porn hub in the past.......(must have been a virus or something), I googled that one. For humor. I never expected to be called out on the source. I feel so ashamed.

This is where people fail, using a creepy picture to push your side of the story, also to try to hide the fact that you're so scared of going to a public bathroom because someone of the other sex might be taking a dump in the other stall.

Ah yes, the ATS instigator. Well, if you read anything I have written on this, you may see that I don't really give a rats ass about who pisses where. In fact, I stated that I wished nobody would have said anything and then those who wanted to stand up and pee in a woman's bathroom were free to do so, as long as they did't get caught.

Why not just wait until you think I say something remotely racists then jump in. You might look like more of a hero.

We have a way around that. NO BARS! LOL!
not really, there are some in the bigger cities. But where up north there are bars on every corner, here there are churches. (and not the fried chicken franchise)

Racism is ugly and needless, but, it still exists. It's not a south only thing, it's everywhere, but seemingly more noticeable in the south due to heritage I suppose. But it's come a long way even here. And it will continue to get better as newer generations evolve and take over where old firm mindsets used to preside.

So explain all the blatant and open anti-white racism that pervades on our university campuses around the country. They're teaching it in the class room!

For example: Portland College "End whiteness month".

People should have the right to be as bigoted and homophobic as they want...Just don't be a crybaby when someone kicks the livin ++++ out of you!!!

You reap what you sow....

So you think physical violence is a legitimate response to words? You should take your own "reap what you sow" advice.

MOD INTERVENTION.

Hi, there...

We really don't need to bring personalities into the discussion, do we?

Some of you will argue over the color of the sky, or whether water is wet... I get it.

Do it politely.

Can black people be racist?

Can gay people be heterophibic?

If one doesn't patronize the .003 percent of the population's delusion that they are women, one is hateful, we get it.

That is a fair hypothesis, and can certainly be supported logically, and with evidence;

Low IQ & Conservative Beliefs Linked to Prejudice

news.yahoo.com...

"There's no gentle way to put it: People who give in to racism and prejudice may simply be dumb, according to a new study that is bound to stir public controversy...."

It appears that the lower the IQ, the more 'conservative', and the more FEARFUL of 'change'!

Isn't there a list of stats delineating states by average education and intelligence?
Wanna bet that the states that we are talking about are the top of the list?

In a thread I tried to convey my opinion on HB2, the controversial bill enacted in NC. In all the conversation, it boiled down to, the new law, doesn't mention LGBT in anti-discrimination verbiage. It also doesn't mention how bad an idea it is to use your toaster in the shower. I can only hope we don't have an increase in death by electrification.

But in all the ranting and crying, I am left with a simple thought. My state is how it is because of the people that live here. North Carolina is a beautiful state, with many natural wonders. But the thing that usually draws people here is the southern charm of the people who make up the communities. Now there is no argument that many hold tight to old values, some of which aren't valued by most other, more progressive states. But that is part of the big picture.

If you want to get big city action, 24 hour entertainment, neon lights as far as the eye can see, I suggest you find somewhere other than small town NC. New York City might be a better choice. But in realty, nobody would be ignorant enough to come to small town NC looking for action such as that. So why would you come to NC, and expect the entire state to change it's ways overnight, then get angry when it doesn't happen?

Racism is ugly and needless, but, it still exists. It's not a south only thing, it's everywhere, but seemingly more noticeable in the south due to heritage I suppose. But it's come a long way even here. And it will continue to get better as newer generations evolve and take over where old firm mindsets used to preside. One of the many charms of the south, NC in particular is that change isn't ramrodded in, but brought about at a nice pace for all to absorb. If that's not your thing, again, there are other places much better suited to your wants and needs.

Point being, just because YOU think things are wrong, doesn't mean the rest of the population should change their way of thinking to accommodate you. I'm reminded of a saying from the Marine corps: Adapt, improvise, overcome. Nowhere do they suggest a temper tantrum until you get your way.

Always remember, if you are forced at gunpoint to live here, THAT is a crime and should be reported. If you come of your own free will and accord, you may expect a little push back to wanting everything to change the way you want.

When talking about issues where one community is discriminating against another community, the people discriminating should change. Those are not victimless crimes, where no one is really injured.

I agree. And sadly, we needed federal laws enacted to ensure people treated each other with the respect they deserved.
But if nobody is being harmed, should everyone still be mandated to make changes to accommodate something that "might" be an issue?

Sorry, there actually are kids being harmed. This puts NC's $4.5B in federal education in jeopardy if they don't comply.

BREAKING: Federal Appeals Court Sides With Transgender Teen, Upholds Protections in Historic Ruling

The 4th Circuit Court of Appeals has just ruled that federal civil rights laws include transgender people in cases involving education discrimination. The 2-1 ruling is in a Title IX case involving a Virginia transgender boy suing for the right to use the boys' restrooms at his school. It affirms the Obama Administration's interpretation of Title IX, that discrimination against transgender people is sex discrimination, and reverses an earlier dismissal of the student's claim

So, "embrace change" or be left in the dust.
