I live on the coast in the upper northwest.

My dogs and my neighbors dogs are acting weird.

The are restless and whining. Not a lot, but it is out of the norm and funny because his dogs are acting the same way.

Another earthquake?

I bet your right. Dogs know. My dog knows before a storm arrives.

Nice post!

We get the occasional wild animal (bear) in our neck of the woods, so it might be that also, but with the recent spate of earthquakes, I thought it curious and wanted to document it "just in case".

Animals and dogs in particular have a heightened sense of awareness to stimuli that humans miss.

Stay safe.

Look for other animals actions.....like the birds. Birds are a big one to watch too. If they start acting crazy and flying around bumping into each other....Mother Nature is about to hit !! Are you on water ? If all the other critter mass exodus( snakes, squirrels ,etc) ..you better get to high ground quick.

I'm not surprised when they see you coming!

Anyway, there has been several in Nevada today, 3.7 being the biggest. Utah have had minor ones all week.

Our cats always act weird, but that is normal for cats. Ouch, I just got clawed for saying this.

Um...rather than be posting the experience, shouldn't you be making sure you are prepared? That's an assumption on my part, but maybe put some water in bottles and put some shoes on, and then let us know how you're doing? I'm reading this, but wincing at the same time...

Stay safe to post another day!

Well, the dogs are still acting weird.

We always have bug-out bags packed.

But it's a sunny day and everything else is fine. This entire thing might have been a simple waste of bandwidth.

But you never know.

Though, if the big one did hit here, no manner of preparation would probably save us. We're too close to the coast, and even inland (Seattle/Vancouver/Portland) would be devastated.

It's the price you pay to live in paradise!

dogs really are sensitive but not to geology, granted they will possibly feel or hear an earthquake before a human does. really watch birds though...About 50 animal species, ranging from birds and mammals to reptiles and insects, use Earth's magnetic field for navigation. there may be a way to predict through those animals though.

I'm in Seattle... I will definitely keep an eye on things as well. I was out early today, and everything seemed normal as I went for my morning coffee... I hope the dogs are wrong...

Up here on the east coast of Vancouver island it all seems a pretty normal....my kitty is lounging calmly in her usual spot (right here beside me as I am typing....)
The sky is a little but pregnant with a spring rain, but its not raining yet.....
In fact seeing as its sunday...its a little too quiet out there.....
not a thing stirring like the world has a hangover and doesn't want to get up yet....
