Admittedly, and this is in regards to your comment right above, I disagree with your choice in music simply because I prefer classics, or at the very least bands from the 60s-90s. Avenged Sevenfold just doesn't work for me. I'd love to find another female vocalist like the one I shared, but until then I'll stick to male. Although I do remember hearing very good female death metal vocals I believe. Forget the names of the bands though...

i guess i really dont know what kids are into these days, that instantly made me want to turn it off, although I can appreciate the uniqueness of the voice and the practice and time she has put into honing her skill, I think she would be considered a master

I think we may be wandering into the "do you have to like someone to LIKE them category, but I don't know.

Like I actually PREFER the vocal style of the one that tiamat put up here.

This falls more under metalcore than actual metal. There is different sub-genre's and its actually all getting a bit out of hand. It doesn't really have a fancy name or anything, it is what it is, screaming. There is a level of difficulty in pulling it off and doing it right without sounding like a banshee getting raped.

It's an acquired tastes and just like all acquired taste, everyone acquires them differently. Take beer for instance, lets be honest all beer taste like sh*t initially, but once you acquire the taste for it then you tend to hone in on certain types, dark, light, red, pale, ale, porter...ect.

I get it.. BabyMetal was some guys sick creation. I think it sounds cool but I know it's a made up band that's supposedly metal. In the grand scheme of things... It's the exact same thing. It all boils down to popularity and money, riches and fame on one level or another. No? Then why did the little miss 'loose her vocal chords by 21' put out a video? Surely it could have just been a sound feed and not a face front vid of herself. Teen angst... ahhh.. Those were the days!

Sure do. Almost pulled a song from that album too but the one I chose was even better. My point... You can understand them and it's not all screaming like someone falling off the highest mountain on Mars. 30 some minutes of scream.

I would consider the OP's band "mental core" or just stupid. I don't know what started this genre but you can't even understand what the hell she's saying. I listen to metal core but I can only tolerate music where I can actually understand the words. This stuff is just 'tarded'. It's stupid. It's not art. It's not music. It's like someone picking up a bunch of rocks, gluing them to a board and calling it art.

Wow what a show.. love it..

Not when this song/video came out. They were much younger. The two young ones have their own metal band called DeathMetal or something. The older was supposed to leave the band at 18 but the band became so big that they kept her in. J-pop sucks but this actually turned out pretty cool. It's obvious that it's 100% show, but that's what we see concerts for, right? A good show.

But yes, they do put on one hell of a show from what I've seen. I'd go to one, as long as Slayer was the main event... lol

Don't get me wrong, I like Cookie Monster singing as much as the next guy, I just like Lita's voice better. I wasn't real big on Wendy O Williams for the same reason... she had a 3 pack a day singing voice.
