I don't know what else I could possibly say so I will just

echo the posters above.

Thank you for your time and efforts in writing this story to share with us.

It was amazing!

Hi Cag!

Thanks for joining in with all the fun!
Hasn't it been amazing so far??? I hope you can enjoy reading the other entries now!

Thanks also for your kind words, I really do appreciate it, and well done on a truly great story.

Gordi,

Thanks man, I certainly appreciate the praise and thanks for the inspiration. I actually have a mind to try this technique again, that is to say, writing a short story based on a photo or number of photos.

It's a great format isn't it?

Get someone else to choose your photos for you! so that you're facing the "challenge" cold and fresh! (It's more fun!)

I was lucky enough to enter & win the only other 4-photo story contest that I've seen (on Rogue Nation), and the photos there were just amazing too! (That's where I "borrowed" the idea from, so I cannot lay claim to coming up with the idea myself unfortunately!!)
...and Jacy helped pick out two of the photos here, so I can't even claim to have come up with this one on my own either!!! LOL
But I have to say - This has been my favourite short story contest yet!

cheers!

G

Gordi,

It really is! I can't believe that I have not come across it until now.

I still haven't gotten all the entries read yet. Maybe later today I will try to sit and binge read the rest of them.

The writers bloc here always impresses.

That was pretty damned good.

No, belay that. That was more than pretty damned good! I love the way you wove all the picture elements into it. And the ending: yes, that worked.

a reply to: CagliostroTheGreat I read this last night and really enjoyed it. It was spiritual and yet Sci-Fi... at least that was my take on it... a very wonderful combination!😊

peppycat,

Thank you kindly for taking the time to read. The juxtaposition between Tech/ Spirit was a good call, I think. Reminiscent of the art of H.R. Giger and Talbot's The Holographic Universe. Or, at least, those works inspired this one. Glad you liked it!
