Ha! I knew that because you had mentioned your husband in several comments.

I didn't think that negated my point to Blue, at all.

You could have called her a 'fat, pig slob' and I would assume she would have praised you for "saying what everyone is thinking."

Ya know?

No no im sorry if it came off as that!

LOL , I feel horrible that women actually like Trump, knowing how he is towards them, and his tendencies to see them as property and objects to be used.

I dont get it.

It's easy for Trump supporters to latch on to the un-PC mantra because Trump supporters aren't the victims of his verbal abuse.

But the truth is, no one wants to be called a "bimbo," "fat pig slob," or be talked about in any of the insulting, generalizing ways that Trump talks about people.

Like Blue Ajah said, you can't respect someone who talks to you that way.

"Sweety" was mild compared to how Trump speaks to people.

Example. One of Trump's many successes. And another situation when people tried to tell him it can't be done:

Faster And Cheaper, Trump Finishes N.y.c. Ice Rink

NEW YORK — Score one for the Trumpster. Back in June, when the city's bungled, six-year effort to renovate the Wollman Ice-Skating Rink in Central Park was $12 million over budget with no end in sight, real-estate tycoon Donald Trump stepped forward.

Just give the project to me, he said, and I'll finish the rink by Christmas. This Christmas. And for free. "I have total confidence that we will be able to do it," Trump said at the time. "I am going on record as saying that I will not be embarrassed."

Yesterday morning, in a gala ceremony down in the sunken, tree-shrouded gulch just off Central Park South, Trump unveiled his completed rink - the ''largest man-made skating rink in the world," glistening with a mirror- perfect sheath of virgin ice.

He was two months ahead of schedule, and $750,000 under budget.

"This serves as an example of what New York, the wealthiest city in the world, can do in terms of saving money - if things are done right," an exuberant Trump said. "If we could just plan and execute, it would be billions and billions of dollars that would be saved."

....

The near-circular skating area, built in 1951, was closed in 1980 for repairs, but the project quickly fell behind schedule. By the spring of this year, with a bankrupt general contractor and an expensive, experimental refrigeration system that didn't work, Wollman rink was left to rot.

Parks officials announced they were back at "square one," and predicted it would take another year-and-a-half to complete the renovations.

That's when Trump came forward.

...

Under the agreement, Trump will operate the rink for one year, donating any profits to a "mutually agreed charity." He announced yesterday that the Ice Capades organization had been hired to handle the day-to-day operation.

Trump said he "knew very little about ice rinks" when he stepped into the project, but was tired of hearing about the botched city efforts and "wanted to get it open."

...

"We completed two months ahead of schedule and that's a little change of pace and a nice thing to hear for a lot of New Yorkers," Trump said. "We pushed very hard. We had very good men . . . and it was something we really put a lot of oomph into."

...

"We did a job here and we put a lot of guts into it and we're proud of it," Trump said.

Small example - representative of Trump's success.

The moral - Trump is the kind of man who has the determination to get things done. He gets things done that others say can't be done. He does things for financially less than others would dream possible. He gets things done even when it is something that he has not done before. He has qualifications that none of the other candidates come close to matching.

You can argue with stupid comments all you want, but this country needs Trump.
He is going to make things happen.

...

This is from 1986.

If this is a valid example of who Trump is today, then why isn't the universal socialized healthcare plan (based on Canada's) that he proposed as recent as 2011, a valid example of how socialist he is?

Why isn't his 1990 proposal for the highest tax hike ever on the wealthy -- to pay off the national debt in one year -- a valid example of how socialist he is?

Why isn't his high praise of Hillary a valid example of how in-the-tank he is for democrats?

Why isn't his past pro-choice position a valid example of his pandering to pro-lifers today?

Why isn't his record of bouncing around political parties for the last 20+ years a valid example of how he has no real core political values?

Trump is a BS artist. A political operative. That's what I takeaway from his record. Nothing more.

ETA: Why aren't his comments about his baby-daughter's potential breast size 30 years ago still valid? Why isn't his interest in and marriage to two communist women valid?

Why do people pick and choose what to believe is valid about Trump's record and past? What on earth has he done to earn any trust from conservative/independent voters? Or anyone?

It's his first run for office obviously he's going to make mistakes.

Give me a break people.

You act as if he doesn't have handlers whose very jobs are to cross every T and dot every I.

Everything we see in this election is completely planned. If Trump has made a mistake...it's intentional and not a mere noob oversight.

Most people who run for POTUS are noobs, too.

So, please, give ME a break.

that whole post was spot on, thank you for pointing out that Logic.

so many times I see on Trump threads , bringing up his past to validate some perceived grand quality about the man, yet somehow his even more recent past doesnt come into the equation for the exact opposite reasons.

it is a glaring example of cognitive dissonance on their part

Supporters :"Look at how great Trump is! He built an empire from a small loan all those years ago!"

US: "yeah I know, look what he said last week about how stupid republican voters are and what he really thinks about women"

Supporters: "How can you just bring up his past like that, like its some sort of proof of anything!"

The media spin about Trumps treatment of women is not true.
He fights back against people regardless of gender.
He treats women as equals professionally, as has been reported by those who know him.
Women hold high positions in his businesses.

Just look at his daughters. They are strong, confident, professional, successful women.
Only a man that respects women could raise daughters like these.

I find it absurd when people say that someone's gender should affect who they vote for.
I know many women who strongly support Trump.
Voting by gender would be as absurd as voting for a vile, evil, corrupt criminal just because she is the same gender as you.

All of this has been explained in depth in other theeads, yet Trump haters just can't seem to see reason or how their misconceptions have been disproved repeatedly.

because they havent been disproven, and every week he says something else that just reinforces it

To the contrary, the Trump supporters are so invested in their chosen one, they cant bear to part with that line of thinking, they have put too much into him, carried too much water for him, made to many excuses for him, they are in too deep to pull out now.

Its almost like a woman in an abusive relationship, this is literally the mental gymnastics the Trump supporters have to go through on a regular basis in order to maintain their vision of who he is.

its sad really

To choose a president based on if you like his personality is immature.

We are choosing a person to do a job. We need the best person to do the job.
We are not choosing someone to hang out with.
It's not a popularity contest.

To demean Trump supporters just because one does not agree with them is not reasonable.
Some of us know the qualities we want in a president, and it has nothing to do with gender.

And... I said I would not be baited, and I let myself get dragged in anyway.
I won't respond to any more of these stupid personal attacks.
We have been over this, and over it, and yet some people will just keep on the same old track, and it is really not worth my time.

could you imagine the viewing figures for the debates if the press said,
'well its trump v hillary, the following debates cant affect the outcome.'
giving no hopers a mathematical chance, and making the clear leaders look like they're panicking, maybe makes it look a little more interesting?
a bit like some 5 and 10 team with an outside shot of a wildcard come final day.
just saying, viewing figures, maybe.

What's been disproved? Everything I said is true and it's not secret.

You just choose to believe that list I posted is meaningless but the ice rink story from 1986 is so very meaningful. I say you are cherry-picking what's meaningful because you've thrown your complete trust in someone who has done nothing to earn it.
