Does the link work for you? I am getting a blank page here.

OT: Hope it is nothing and just a false alarm.

EDIT: First link in the quote works, just the second one goes to about:blank. I have never seen that before on ATS.

The bottom link doesn't seem to be working. Click on the news station link instead in the snippet. Not much additional info yet. Very concerning.

I hope they learned their lesson from the last base shooting and had their personnel arm themselves.

Somebody didn't get their coffee in the morning before they were asked a silly question by a recruit....

I was on Ft.Bragg NC for years. Shootings are common occurrences on military bases.

It gets turned into all kinds of weirdness by the media before anything is known about the particulars of the event.

Civilian law enforcement and the media shouldn't even get involved until the matter is more clearly understood, because you know what?, soldiers are trained killers!.

Check fire!...Check Fire!!!...

With what? Harsh language...who would trust a bunch Xbox zombies with firearms? The air farce isn't known for expert marksman or dynamic entries. Well, maybe on call of duty- but not in the real world.

Are there so many shootings at Military facilities because so many people there are armed? If that's the correlation, then it wouldn't be good for ordinary citizens carry guns with them around town. That would escalate local violence too, wouldn't it?

Wow. I didn't know that. Crazy isn't it? I read somewhere that the police in France aren't armed either. Well, we vote the people into office who initiate these laws. We get what the majority asks for I suppose.

Fort Hood Is A ‘Gun-Free Zone’

Like many military installations, Fort Hood is a “gun-free zone.”The policy was reportedly first issued in 1992 by former President George H.W. Bush and then reissued in 2011, according to The Blaze.

Strangest part is it was HW Bush who wrote passed the bill.

You read incorrectly then. The overwhelming majority of police forces in France are armed.

And yea, a lot of people don't like the idea of all military personnel having a weapon strapped to them every day. For a number of reasons.
