"I knew you would be the one to respond to my post and I knew the context before you typed it. Don't you get tired of banging that drum?"

You don't have to bait me. I can take a direct point or question.

Honestly, no anger or animosity in that statement. I saw your comments earlier and I just knew you would respond and what you would say.

The criminal machine in Chicago is huge. They got caught selling a seat in the senate... That is pretty big. And that is the one that got caught. And the only reason is because Daley is such an arrogant tool he really believed he could be that brazen in his methods and get away with it. Try to imagine how far reaching and powerful a crime syndicate must be to create a public figure so blatantly corrupt. It really is that bad. It isn't stupidity. Its absolute faith in the all powerful machine that is the Chicago democratic party.

It is the same Chicago mentality that put obama in the whitehouse, lying through his teeth about obamacare and getting it passed anyway. And lets not forget who was working for him at the time - Daley's brother. Coincidence or payback for a senate seat?

No, we vote. We're just out numbered. There are 102 counties in Hellinois, Pat Quinn won his last election with only two counties backing him. Two. Cook County is the largest and most corrupt County in this State!

This State is swirling around the bowl and about to go down. Like the thousands of businesses that have left, we are downsizing our small business(10 employees to 2) in preparation for our departure.

The problems in Chicago have little to do with our foreign policy, although the blunders in both could be fixed the same way: take a less is more approach.

In Chicago we have a perfect case study for how downward pressure from authority creates a slightly greater return force from the populace. This ensures escalation every time.

Less is more. Chicago is one of the most heavily legislated cities in the country. One would think that if laws deter crime, that Chicago would be a paradise.

Local governments should be stewards of their communities. They should not be used as weapons against minority populations. And they should not be seen as a means to solve every little problem through enforcement of law.

From what I'm told. And am picking up on.

There is going to be an 'event'

In Chicago.

I have no idea what this event will be, but I believe along with others who are convinced.

The truth does not change. We come,we see, we take, we leave. That is the American way. Now our cities are paying the consequences and are prisons. Now the rich are looking for new territory to pillage.

The people doing the pillaging are the progressive liberals who insist on taxing everyone out of existing. They can never have enough money.

Let me ask all y'all something. If we cannot control the violence, poverty, and criminals in America, What On Earth are we doing fighting ISIS? For whom?

San Francisco and Seattle have high taxes. San Francisco just gave paid maternity leave. So, the plan is the same. The rich move to another haven, start making laws to leave "the others" out, create a bunch of poor people, load the city up with guns, then leave.

The people leaving Hellinois are going all over the United States, not just the two places you mentioned. My Parents are going to Florida, while my wife and I are going to Missouri. Property in Missouri is very cheap and taxes on said property is almost nonexistent. Very beautiful country too.

I understand that some people are relocating to high tax/regulation areas, but I don't think it's the norm.

I am just worried about a bunch conservatives moving to my state, WA. We are liberals on the West side and have some good things going. They will ruin it with hate and war mongering. The way they ruined Idaho the last 30yrs., especially the education system.

You know what was a big player in the downfall of Chicago? The same damn thing as Detroit. Unions and corrupt politicians. And how do unions vote again?

You really think the "regular" public has much of a chance, once the corruption has it's heels dug in? Come to Detroit.

You can believe that if you like, and judging by your tenacity, you do. Be that as it may, Chicago is a whole different kind of corrupt. Its next level stuff. I have lived here most of my life and I have had the fortune (mis) of having rubbed elbows with some high ranking individuals. I am still trying to wipe the slime off...

Chicago cant change any more. Too many people from too many places have far too much invested in keeping things the way they are. No election will ever make a difference. Its not that we don't vote or don't care. The system just continues to manufacture circumstances that are advantageous only to itself. Its a microcosm of DC. When you can set your own hours, your own salary, your own benefits, your own vacation, your own retirement, and set the rules that stop anyone from limiting your ability to do so, you tend to be very generous.

And as to your criminals, violence and poverty points, I can't control what others do, as I'm not in law enforcement. As for poverty, We own a small business and treat our employees well. What else can I do?

Illinois regulations/taxes are stifling to small businesses. Our only option at this point is to sell everything off and move to a more business friendly State.

So, it is a lawless city?

That just makes our invasions of other countries more hypocritical. All that money and maiming and death for nothing.

All the population and high paying jobs are on the west side where they have democrat representatives. On the east side is agriculture, an air force base, evangelicals and mormons, and low paying jobs, with republican representative. Like Idaho.

The only problem that I have with it, is that they probably helped create the mess Chicago is in and now they are running to someplace else where they will probably do it again.

I am just trying to understand the mentality. Why are we fighting ISIS because of lawlessness, but let our cities get taken over by lawlessness? Shouldn't all our efforts, money, talent, ideas, be to save us?
