You're under the impression that I am not aware of the arguments for an increased minimum wage and tax issues.

I am not addressing that as it is simply a lack of economic understanding.

You can advocate all you want for paying people more devalued dollars. But until we fix the inflationary policies that have brought us huge wage gaps, inflated housing prices, and enormous public debt, such a discussion will be had again in short order.

We do this all the time with the minimum wage. Raise it, dollar loses more value, blame "greedy corporations", for "not paying a fair wage", and continue to ignore the problems with our currency.

I was poor by 3rd world standards too.

It was having economic liberty and hard work that got me where I am today. I'd prefer to have tax cuts, greatly reduced government spending, and to be left alone to live life as I see fit.

Economic equality doesn't exist. Where it does exist, and has been tried by socialist decree, the only economic equality is the squalor under which the average person lives. Socialism is the philosophy of the envious and greedy. It is the philosophy of shared misery and poverty on huge scales most first worlders could never imagine.

well, maybe the fact that they more than likely are the ones responsible for the upkeep of those houses, ya know when the roof needs to be fixed or the furnace has been declared dead. heck they may even owe money on the mortgage of that house, or for the initial remodeling of it to make it suitable for a person to live in to begin with, and they may have to borrow money to fix that roof or furnance....

Realestate, property like houses, should be "owned" by the ones who are citizens of that state, that country, that piece of land, they are a member of. Otherwise some china-dude or dudette can own that land, by being a share-holder, and wanting YOU to spend money for just having a place where you can lay your head down. You like that?

I call that worse than slavery, because slaves knew they were slaves. And had accomondation for free and food for free and such. I don't believe welfare spending is as egregious as many right wingers make it out to be. Welfare spending as a percentage of government spending is almost too small, even under Obama's expansion policy, to be too concerned with. What bothers me about welfare is the system and how it traps people. I find corporate welfare to be a far larger issue.

Subsidizing corporations is offensive to capitalism..At least it should be...But we don't have capitalism now do we?

Sanders is offering an unprecedented expansion of government. Obama did that and now the nation is 20 trillion in debt. Obama's federal government took over all student loans, and now the problem is worse than ever.

I have a fundamental difference in philosophy when it comes to the role of government. It puts me at odds not just with Bernie Sanders, but Hillary, Obama, Trump, Bush, and just about every other politician out there.

And, how about you take back that libelous allegation that "we people" are just 'envious of those who have more' and 'that is the sole and simple reason' that we back Bernie. Mmkay? Because, you said that.

That is the attitude those advocating for socialism, which IS the philosophy of envy and greed, take when discussing wages, work, and taxes.

You conflate taxation with charity which is ludicrous. One is mandatory and the other is voluntary.

I want to ask you a question. Have you ever met someone who lived in a socialist system? I have met several. And every one of them told me they paid over 50 percent taxes. One was Canadian, two were French. One other question, do you really think taxing the rich will pay for everything Sanders wants to do? They are ONE percent of the population, we are a country of 300 million. Even if you taxed 99 percent of their income it won't even come close to funding a socialist system. The only thing he could do is tax a greater number of people. And thats assuming he is somehow miraculously able to overcome the TOTAL GRIDLOCK of a hostile Senate and Congress. I would love to see conditions improve for the working class, but its not going to happen under Sanders.
