Since there is no other country on earth that is or was free like the US with the rule of law and the COTUS, then where am I going? By contrast, there are many countries that have the exact programs leftists always whine America doesn't have.

So, I would be happy to leave just as soon as we figure out how to colonize other planets. The reality is that life on another world will be hard and nasty, so no right-minded lefty will bother with it leaving it up to people who will work to make those planets a nice place first before they move out like locusts. That means the rest of us should have generations before we have to worry about it.

Because of the math I mentioned.

Socialist countries only have a prayer of working if they ruthlessly control the math, so they are very selective about their immigration usually. They generally only take people who have skills they need or who are definitely financially solvent.

Yeah my life was almost ruined several times trying to do things the right way. My wifes visa is secured now.....I ask why did I bother?

My kids were in Mexico PAYING for crap healthcare while illegal children are in my country getting great free care.

I dunno. My grand dad came through Ellis Island, and he was always pretty tolerant of illegals.

He was no fool, and recognized the relationship between the slide into what Mexico is today (from being a vibrant economy in the 50s) and US intervention throughout Mexico and Central America.

Had we not taken lighter fluid and a hatchet to their house, I might agree with you. But honestly, this goes right back to my earlier point: we complain about illegals as a proxy for accepting our blame for doing a TERRIBLE job managing our government. If we, US Citizens, would give Uncle Sam the bitch slap he deserves, and make him cower in the corner like he should, then the US and Mexico would be in MUCH better condition today.

Did you catch the end of the video in the OP.
They were getting deported from the Mexico Consulate and said we want Mexican Drivers licenses. HA HA. Such a sad joke this has all become.

How dare they! Those children should have to die from those sicknesses and diseases just because their parents brought them to America illegally, something they personally had no control of. Why should we have to help underprivileged children? They should have to learn from their parents mistake of bringing them with them.

This is just anecdotal, but some close friends of ours are from Pakistan. They wanted to come to the US and paid 32,000 to come. They did everything right.

Paid every fee.

And now, my friend Rashad, just fumes at the people who get in free and aren't punished.

I once said to him that he should sue if they start giving out blanket amnesty.

He told me that he's afraid the US would kick him out.


He's terrified of our government.

You misunderstood me. I do not think legal citizens should shoulder this burden by virtue of their own labor, when countless corporations have capitalized on illegals for slave labor.

However, as a parent I will readily throw my personal philosophy aside to help any child in need.

I feel that the progressive movement is creating a larger and larger government, requiring more and more taxes to run the behemoth. So ultimately I am agreeing in most part with those you refer to as the "right". However my heart over rides this sentiment for children.

A government should not be the focus of a people lives, the progressive movement is misguided in my opinion and regulating the inherent freedoms garnered by our Constitution.

Thats the problem. We (the US Citizens) have let our rabid dog run the neighborhood. And he's caused problems, including starting to try to bite us now.

Industries have proven over time that if left under regulated, they'll intentionally sell tainted products (like asbestos and DDT); pollute our waters and air (like toxic runoff and lead in our waterways); will cheat employees out of their benefits and wages, etc. Gutting those agencies and regulations only increases these corruptions.

We agree on most points. Sadly, to pay for all of the programs and to administrate them, the government grows.

We don't live to grow the government, the government is there to serve the people and the smaller the better, and less prone to corruption.

YES!

I always equate government to a family of 5. Two parents (any sex/gender) and 3 kids of varying age.
