One does have to wonder why she suddenly 'wants to set the record straight' after all these years. It was a convenient story for her then and convenient to backpeddle now.

And, yes, none of it changes the fact that Donald is a crass pig when it comes to women.

I think Ivana is actually a real good woman that really loved Donald Trump and went through a lot of crap for that love.

She fell in love with the lifestyle and tried to be the ultimate wife to the man she viewed as a god. There is a lot of biographical info out there on Trump and Ivana. Interesting stuff to say the least.

Anyway, it almost reads like she has some sort of twisted Stockholm syndrome-type of mindset.

I can't get past it. Personally, I don't think she was lying then. My gut says that was the truth.

So, if she is lying now, I think that's low. Character is important in a candidate. If Donald did the things she claimed, she should fess up for OUR sakes...not solely for her own purposes because, at the time, she wanted the most lucrative divorce settlement.

But if she lied then, I think it's just as bad, to be honest.

I'd need to know more about that agreement now that some details have been publicized. I admit, I am not privy to what it entails.

I would like to think that she is free to say that she did not lie then -- even if it's just that simple and short. Forget the "that's lawyer stuff." A lawyer is not independent from their client. They can only claim what their client has stated as a claim.

That's the good thing about Trump. Everything he says is debatable, because he says them. Everyone else gives us a prefabricated performance filled to the brim with sophistry and political-speak, evasion, and hosts of glittering generalities, employing speech writers and the like. He's not charismatic at all. Besides the usual demagoguery, there is no spell. He doesn't alter his accent to suit the area he is speaking in. He doesn't withhold his thoughts in favor of talking points. He is in the open. He is hiding nothing.

I am not a Trump supporter, but I am an avid Trump defender, and I will do so until he has actually done something wrong, as opposed to joining in the media-led kangaroo court in which everyone thinks they have him pegged. It's nonsense. And we should all be ashamed for letting this happen right in front of our eyes.
