You're telling me. We can't even agree on if we want to be alone while we do the number two.

How will we ever get to an agreement on if we can go full co-ed???

They should change the bath room signs to

'XX'
And
'XY'

Yeah, this doesn't work. This is just a small sample of why. For more information, visit the Intersex Society of North America.

This really has nothing to do with being transgender.

They need to picket the rest rooms in NC.

Barricade the airport restroom so no body could use them until the laws rescinded

That would be a big mess eh!

There going to be in a pissing match with many rights groups if they don’t flush this matter down the toilet soon.

Nice crowd. Don't think even just a few years ago many even knew about transgender.

The word is getting out.

Most people believe and support Equal Rights.

Ahhhhhh, just had to throw this in.

Takes time, but we do evolve.

Greg Louganis Will Finally Get His Wheaties Box

Four-time Olympic gold medalist Greg Louganis will grace the cover of a Wheaties cereal box, his legs tucked into a dramatic inward pike as part of the Wheaties Legends series, the company announced Monday. Louganis, 56, who is well-known for his world-class diving skills, was given the arguably overdue honor of appearing on the box after a fan watched the recent Emmy-nominated HBO documentary Back On Board, and became inspired to start an online petition. www.advocate.com...

this is the wording of the law, or at least what I believe is the wording of what was passed...

www.ncleg.net...

it does go well beyond the bathrooms!!

it seems to completely eliminate the local governments ability to put conditions onto those they contract with or give grants to, if I am reading it right??? I lived in NY, and well, there was alot of money being given by state, federal, and local gov'ts for all kinds of crap! they'd all add a little and well lure businesses into an area who would then promise to provide jobs... the taxpayers always ended up feeling fleeced in the end as they watched these business pack up and move across the border of to mexico or well, suddenly cut their labor force down to the bare bones we well the taxpayers found that they just spend a million or so dollars for each job in the place and those jobs were no paying such low wages the taxpayers were left feeding their employees also.

this law seems to be saying that the country can't set any conditions, not to how much the businesses they contract with should pay the employees, not as far as who should or shouldn't get their services, ect...
the federal gov't sure the heck can throw up a bunch of restrictions when they want to. so can't the state.. it's one of those things that I keep saying that the gov'ts should be using to try to try to get the business sector to take a little responsibiity back. after all why should we be doing crap like throwing in the majority of the funding for a new stadium for the jets if we can't expect them to at least play some games there, pay their employees decent wages, ect. the counties and cities have just as much right to throw conditions into the pot as the federal and states do! and well if it's one certain area that they are hoping to address, like I don't know the immigrant population, well, they most certainly should be able to limit the services that are given to just that population!

How about "don't ask, don't tell"?

I mean, who asks? I've seen some manly women in the ladies room. Not once have I been tempted to inquire their purpose in that room. It's a bathroom.

There was a girl in my middle school with a very distinct Adam's apple who was a foot taller than everyone else and a sometimes hairy lip. I didn't ask her, either.

My grandparent's Belgian neighbors, at their assisted living place, one was a transgendered person. One looked like a little old man and the other like a little old woman. I never asked which and didn't care to know, either. Don't even remember how I found out. I think a nurse made a comment. I just thought they were hilarious because they'd argue in like 5 languages at once...something I found impressive.

It's a toilet. Let people do their business in peace. And as for little kids, if you have any, for crying out loud don't let them in a restroom alone, anyway!

Yeesh...everything is political these days. Food, toilets....nothing is safe

You know who Dot Jones is?

She's an actress (born with a vagina). She played Coach Beiste on Glee.

She is 6'3" tall.

I can see some paranoid woman calling the police on her for using the woman's bathroom.

This whole thing was in reaction to Charlotte passing an anti-discrimination law that among other things allowed transgender people to use the facilities consistent with their gender identity as already allowed in 17 states and 255 cities across the country, without incident I might add.

A special 1-day legislative session was called at a $42,000 expense to taxpayers to address this issue and the bill was rushed through the house and senate and then signed by the governor at 10:00 PM that evening allowing no time for debate or even for the bill to be properly read.

This is sickening.

IMPORTANT

This bill makes in against the law for individual cities/counties to enact their own anti-discrimination bill.

The Governor has even considered trying to make a law with penalties for any business that tries to pull out of the state. (I'm not sure where that's at at this time or if its constitutional).

what the heck, we've had companies in ny get all kinds of grants, tax cuts, energy credits, and on and on, and all they had to do was make good on a promist that they would create a certain number of jobs... most didn't create the jobs they promised and many decided to pack up and leave for greener pastures. these companies and many across this country, are able to pack up and move to god knows where with no kind of penalty, how the heck does this governor think he is going penalize a business for leaving the state???
and well, I am taking it that he is republican, wouldn't this fly in the face of republican principles??

I've seen her in a lot of things. Yes, I could see someone doing that. Then again, I think a lot of women don't look overly girly. Being female does not automatically make one petite, shapely, or feminine.

Anymore than being born male makes someone big, burly, and muscular.

I just feel like a kindergarten teacher, standing here, massaging my temples with my eyes closed groaning, "Can't anyone just use the toilet and MOVE ON already?"

I can't believe politicians took the time to craft this, and now it's in the news, and now people are protesting and it's this big thing...

All over toilets.

For poop and pee.

I suppose they could be chanting Hail Satan!

And if no one cows to that, perhaps throwing some jars of the poop and pee in question will get their point across? They've thought about it at various protests before and it has a grand tradition all around the world.
