April 6th is fast approaching....I supposed I better get my affairs in order. I wonder if Glenn Beck is concerned?

The FLDS is NOT Mormon.

They are an offshoot, but they are not Mormon.

They are not a recognized religion.

Loon, he is a loon. He enjoyed his time in jail in special custody and reportedly masturbates 17 times a day in front of his monitoring camera. Molested his nephew and sapped millions from the community. He is a POS and would not be surprised to hear of his death in the near future.

I want him to admit guilt, and publicly state child molestation is wrong, and having child brides is wrong. I would make his release contingent upon these comments. Maybe even make him take a polygraph to see if he means it.

No. You would not be correct. The FLDS church is not considered "Mormonism" as the phrase is commonly used. The thread title (and I'm assuming the article title as well--I didn't read it because Raw Story is a humanist rag) is a deliberate and dishonest attempt to confuse contemporary "Mormonism" with the FLDS cult.

You would be mistaken. Romney is a member of the LDS. This is the FLDS.

Many Christians think that Mormonism in its entirety is a cult. Romney is a Mormon, so....

Some religious people believe that dark skinned people 'bear the mark of Cain' which also explains why some consider Obama the anti-Christ. Religion can cause people to believe some scary stuff.

As long as they are condemning dangerous cults, how about RawStory doing critical a story about the billion member apocalyptic cult led by a polygamist who raped a nine year old?

That's ironic, this dudes cult believes god made the black brown peoples skin black because their ancestors betrayed god. I WONT link to the sources of this but in a philosophy class (comparative religion) I had ran into this character upon study and to make my paper I had to read a lot of disgusting and distorted views from people like him and followers alike. Another that stood out was discussing in depth Applewhites devotion to heavens gate as he probably truly believed his own BS by having his penis surgically removed along with other male followers versus ole warren here that rode Harleys cross country to "promote" the church.

This cult is about as "mormon" as Westboro Baptist is "baptist." In other words, they share the name and maybe some particulars of doctrine and practice but are so far from the mainstream of the practice that the two are like a hyrax and an elephant - related but that's about as far as it goes.
