I'm not the devil as far as you know.
Going back now to star all of your responses.
And make sure I've starred all the cute OPs posts.
I like this thread. Very frank discussion. Learning a lot.

There are also ways to gain respect from other members.
How so other than using "word chess"?
Don't put too much effort into winning favor from complete strangers you've never met.
To me its not a popularity contest
Having said that, if you want a couple tips how to increase your star-dom, you can try posting early on the weekends, more people are online then...I do it because I want to engage people... A side effect of that is more stars.

We all want better for our children. We all need to feed not only our children but also ourselves so we can feed our children.
We all want our children to have better lives that we did,

Also:
complete strangers you've never met
The members of ATS are far from complete strangers to me. I remember their screen names, their avatars and their personalities. I can tell from their posts not only much of what they believe but also a lot about their background, education, interests and personalities. So can you. So can anybody.
This is a community of members. That is, people. It hardly matters that we don’t know one another’s names and faces. Names and faces are just tags we use to classify the really important information. Which is all in the posts.

What makes us separate in relation to your response is less objective that what makes us the same.

block off your senses,
blunt your sharpness,
untie your knots,
soften your glare,
settle your dust.
This is the primal identity.”

Given faith there is no such thing as death, nor is it s goal.
The meaning of death is that it is meaningless, a veil that does not mean how in general it is defined.
