I'm sure there's plenty of overpaid staff at most universities. Let's start with the dean & university presidents salary.

We're all getting new lessons in civics this spring and summer. The big final exam is in Nov. .

Hey having the internet right under our fingers helps. It can also lead to dark places...
like the Fox news outlet. Lol

Is that going to rustle up $300billion or so per year? Who else's salary do you want to cut?

Bernie Sanders wants to make college tuition FREE. Called the
"College for All Act," a bill to make four-year public colleges and
universities tuition-free.

Which essentially means the tax payer will subsidize another big
government spending bill. FREE education is never free. It's hard
for people like Bernie to understand the basic concept that NOTHING
IS FREE in a free market economy. I might send Bernie a book on
economics so he can understand this. Our Federal Government already
has a National debt over 19 trillion, yet this
man thinks we can afford free college.

I have no idea what drives this entitlement mentality, but it's complete
insanity. Because it does not matter if he tries to tax wall street or
corporate interest, it's an idea flawed to failure and just exacerbate
our nations financial demise sooner than later.

Here's a novel idea Bernie, try to establish a plan to reduce our Federal Debt.
That's a more pressing issue than trying to send kids to college for free.
These pandering politicians will continue to burden
present and future generations to debt by these asinine projects.

The problem here is rudimentary and fundamental ignorance.

1) You never question 1 trillion for a "new" nuclear arsenal, over ten years. Why isn't that "free stuff?"

2) How about 1.5 trillion over 15 years -- through BOTH Bush and Obama's terms as president in a failed policy of perpetual "war against terror" which --a) didn't work out very well, in that it has actually created "more terrorists," and b) is semantically the same exact language as "be afraid, forever (and keep electing us!)"

3) The budget of the US federal government is NOT in any way similar to a household budget, nor is it similar to a "corporation." It is an absolute failure of education and economic intelligence to argue otherwise. The "national debt" represents faith in the US dollar, which is why nations around the world invest in US savings bonds and treasury bills. It is also why 100 million Americans invest in US savings bonds and T-bills, either directly or through their mutual funds ("self funded retirement savings) and 401K's.

Our "debt" is a measure of how much others trust our money system (right or wrong). It is also *a* principal vehicle by which our own people invest for their own security and retirement.

To argue, as some have, that we should cut spending (for example -- buying sweet crude from Saudi Arabia to "punish" them for not "helping" enough in our "be afraid forever" war machine) would destabilize the IRA's and 401K's of 100 million Americans. Why do you guys hate yourselves so much?

China Russia north Korea Cuba ....oh are these rich countries? Where I come from these are third world nations.
Don't even site China's economy. Not when they pull values for their currency out of their anuses..

Ask any Russian about standing in line.....to get toilet tissue. Flicking can't even wipe their butts without the states say so.

I cannot believe Sanders is beating Clinton tonight. Hopefully she can bounce back and hit back hard. This is what politics is all about!

She is still far ahead of Bernie and big big states are still on the horizon. She should take NY but I'm not real firm on that. She should take PA and that I'm pretty confident about. Jersey and Maryland are both big deals. Hillary is in line to win both. Then in June the Hollywood crowd votes and California is in love with Hillary.

Breathe honey. She's seven hundred delegates ahead and the big contests are still ahead of us. The Clinton's are going to be the first couple outside of a monarchy to both head a country.

I was counting from a chart that doesn't break it down. I didn't realize those totals included super delegates. Still the distance is W I. D. E. .....

uh, no, she's not.

Current Democratic Delegate Count
The following data is an estimate based on the March 26 results. It will continue to be updated as more results are released. It does not include the 469 superdelegates pledged to Clinton or 29 pledged to Sanders.

CANDIDATE DELEGATES
Hillary Clinton 1,261
Bernie Sanders 1,022

Deal with it.

Well I certainly hope he makes it.

I'd love to see a referendum on socialism in November.

Since his avian visitor in Portland, I think we should all give Bernie the bird!

hahahahahahaha

Have fun today!

Is there a thread yet on Psy-ops bird trainers?

;o)

No they can't just switch. They are obligated to the candidate with the highest vote count in each state they represent. Hillary already locked in any supers from the states she's already won. If she maintains this lead they can't just say hey I'd rather go with Bernie. That's a fantasy . Don't pin your hopes on any super delegate ignoring the popular vote and swinging over to Bernie. That's simply not going to happen. If he hopes to gain the nomination he still has a long road and a lot of work ahead of him.

I referenced the idea in an offhanded remark somewhere in this thread or another like it...

It was an obvious pre-planned stunt. Mother Nature is in on it, she's the biggest progressive liberal of them all.

Yes, they CAN just switch!

su·per·del·e·gate
ˈso͞opərˌdeləɡət/
nounUS
plural noun: superdelegates
(in the Democratic Party) an unelected delegate who is free to support any candidate for the presidential nomination at the party's national convention.

Just like you were mistaken about the "winner takes all" thing for Dems - the Dem superdelegates can change their mind.
