Dumb question...If Cruz drops out...what happens to his delegates?
Does he give them to Kasich?

If Cruz bails... he has no control over his accrued delegates, but..... does the GOP machine? as far as party influence?

something to ponder for sure...

I suppose he could suspend his campaign...and bargain with his delegates at the convention...if Trump doesn't get 1237.

Suspending on the GOP side won't keep your delegates as a posturing chip at the convention...

It also depends on the state... it's a confusing deal, and I am all for States' rights.

My opinion is that Cruz won't bail... Kasich will stick this out.... and should Trump not reach the number...

I wouldn't be surprised if Kasich is the one who surfaces as the GOP nominee out of the convention, with the help of Cruz' delegates....

It's going to be one hell of an election season... seeing the parties stealing the will of the people...

You can't make this shyte up....

Something not right in the Cruz family... not going to post the video but did anyone see Cruz's daughter recoiling away from him when he tried to kiss her goodbye. Weird.

I'll do it.

Looks instantly to make sure the camera caught his awkwardly force human emotion.

He's not a normal human being, have you ever seen the stock footage he put out for his PAC's? His family seem like props to him

My girlfriend - who has virtually no interest in politics - compares Ted Cruz to a Build-a-Bear, except for a Build-a-Politician.

He seems fake, entirely scripted, and at times downright creepy.

He just doesn't seem right to me. He's way too prudent, and from what I've seen - it's often the very timid and quiet ones who are the most crazy.

He also looks like the Zodiac Killer in my opinion.

There is a story circulating that a hooker in Texas has been found and the transcript of an interview published identifies Cruz as a regular customer of hers. Apparently the interview was also videoed.
She says that he would even pay for flights so she could visit him when he was in Virginia - if this is true there will be a paper trail including airline tickets on the days she says she was going to see him, and Cruz will have to have been in Virginia to match up to those dates.

Yes, I read her transcript interview, she is afraid for her life,, didn't want to post it

Hearing new rumors on twitter that it was actually Marco Rubio's wife, who leaked the story to the wife of the CEO (David Pecker) of NE.

Trump comes out on what he meant by 'spill the beans'

His spokesperson, just now, has clarified and attacked Heidi Cruz for her career.

Nothing to do with NE story.

Cruz should be held to account to provide proof that Trump is behind the NE story.

Oh whatever. , trump makes a threat and two days later this happens?

Then he makes a statement that this wasn't what he was talking about , it's about her professional career?

Everyone already knows her career. M
This is a blatant hit by Trump and you know it

Have more koolaid

If it wasn't Trump who leaked the info, I would really really like to hear Cruz apologize. After all, what he did was very un-christian.

Don Lemon on CNN quickly cutting to a commercial break when Omarosa brought up the sex scandal is evidence of the real story here. The MSM is doing everything possible not to cover this on tv after letting 24/7 anti-Trump rhetoric go on for month.

The MSM hasn't actually covered this today. They've only covered Cruz blaming Trump for what the National Inquirer wrote, the "salacious tabloid report" as CNN put it, where they then spent 95% of the time bashing Trump for comments he made as far back as June.

So if the media reports on a story and gets the facts wrong you condemn them

But if they wait to cover a story to get all the facts.....you still condemn them

You Trump supporters have serious issues w double standards

And you're upset that they covered stuff that actually came out of trumps mouth

Once again proving you have no interest in truth , and your only priorities are sticking by your chosen one

While Cruz' wife's history may be common knowledge here...

I have yet to see it mentioned on the MSM until now ....

The MSM on all sides tries to keep any affiliation with the CFR on the down low....

I wonder why?

Is that now "dirty secret" to be kept from the voting populous, who, if I have to be honest, would have no clue what the CFR is anyways...

For all the obvious reasons, he had nothing to do with it so why he would denounce it is beyond me. It wasn't even bad, Trump is just a sensitive little orange boy. Now what Cruz has to denounce is using a line from a movie during an interview defending his wife.

I don't like him and neither does DC, which is a good thing and bad thing. But more importantly, he's a war monger so he'll never get my support.

If I were Cruz, I would have just said that "it doesn't matter, because in my eyes, MY wife is the most beautiful woman in the world. Every man should strive to see things the same way." (although I don't support Cruz)

That would have been the politically correct answer.

Not #ing hookers would have also been more politically correct and dare I say Christian

Cruz, based purely on appearance, looks weak and awkward. I imagine he has soft, slightly moist, woman hands. He creeps me out, but I don't even know why. This comes from a girl who is attracted to nerdy, awkward guys...but the ick factor is strong with Cruz.

I think he will have to address this outright, even if it is from a tabloid. If he doesn't sue, I will be forced to believe women willingly slept with him. I can't see this story with obvious details being ignored at such a critical time in his career if it is 100% false. It will be everywhere by morning, and he has to respond...

I don't like or trust any of them from either side. As far as Cruz, I can't stand him. Every time I see his face or hear his vice I have an overwhelming urge to hit him in the face.

Is she autistic? Not trying to be nasty at all, but the hand gesture and noise she made seemed kind of off. Then again those kids are probably under enormous stress.

I wish I had read the entire thread...three things:

Where there is this much DANGEROUS (i.e. litigation ready) smoke, there is fire. The NE lawyers vetted this. They have corroborating evidence. To be dropped (for readership) via a drip here and there till the dam breaks.

The affairs dove tails sadly (for their children when they learn of this and understand it all years from now) with Mrs Cruz breakdown (her being considered, in a heavily redacted police report, that she appeared to be a danger to herself and was not arrested; cited; or driven home, but instead to an unnamed institution for treatment. Carpenter, Pierson, BOTH worked at Texans for Cruz and were involved in the last Bush campaign as well. My theory, they each thought they were special and the only one, and Ted was in a sham marriage (wife working in DC, she comes and realizes what Ted has been up to, with her 7th Day Adventist upbringing decides no divorce, and here comes the profound depression that lead her to park her car and sit by the off ramp).

As for what the non hookers "saw" in the very awkward Cruz, didn't Henry Kissinger say (when he was dating Hollywood types like the late Jill St. John) "power is an amazing aphrodisiac."

And lastly, never can I recall any politician being routinely called "creepy" by so many. Not just here on this ATS thread. But on Twitter; in the comments sections of both liberal and conservative news sources and blogs. It's like we all just get the same gut reaction...CREEPY (and I'll add slimey, sleazy, scripted and his tone is Elmer Gantry meets Mr. Haney--obscure 60s sitcoms Green Acres reference). That alone should disqualify.

Now to his wife...she got her big Goldman Sachs promotion ONE WEEK after her husband was elected a US Senator (coincidence?). She also worked under Condeleeza Rice in the State Department and used THAT experience to parlay herself (as a Goldman Sachs exec) to the Committee For Foreign Relations (where she was one of the supporting authors of a. Opinion Paper on how to construct a North American Union...ya, know no borders between the US, Canada and Mexico. Just like the EU (and that's working brilliantly)...and conveniently isn't her husband sorta kinda squishy on immigration and hasn't he also spoken against a southern border wall?

The plot thickens...

"Emormous stress."

Indeed. They have been (by Heidi Cruz own proud admission) cared for by nannies as both parents had long hours away from home. I guess it's not good "optics" for nannies to be seen on the campaign trail, so their actual caregivers are absent from them now.

For seven and five year olds, very disruptive and sad.
