Use some other word that correctly describes how you feel about another person's political opinions. You're not disgusted and you clearly don't understand the meaning of the word. It makes you sound very uneducated.

You're reading too much into it.

Maybe you are angry because your car has broken down?

I'm disgusted with this thread. Absolutely nauseating.

You're absolutely right. It's thrown around too much, as if someone can be repulsed by words and ideas like they can be repulsed by gas or vomit. It's more an admission of weakness rather than a factual description of how one feels.

But if we use any stronger, more personal, words we might get banned. Disgusted is a safe word to use here.

From Webster's:

annoyance and anger that you feel toward something because it is not good, fair, appropriate, etc.

Seems like the right word to use in most differing political contexts to me.

Finding out that 75% of Trump supporters on ATS dream of making love to their sisters is truly disgusting. I can't believe anyone would be that sick. There's some gross people out there and this whole situation has to stop.

Not necessarily. You've given the definition of disgust, not disgusted.

"Disgust" is a noun, "disgusted" is an adjective. We're supposed describing how we feel, not what we feel.

Small quibble, but significant.
