I never have called a black person a 'n-word'..not EVER.....but now I know that no matter what I say...white people are the only racists in America

Then why did you just say, "Why is it ok for a "NIGGER" to call me names??" That right there is calling her a name. You just called her that. At what point did she go from "A black woman calling you names" to a "Nigger calling you names"???

Because it was that change in language that implies you might be racist. We already know that woman is by what she called you. But when did she become a "'n-word'" to you???

This was a lesson I learned when I was a kid.

This is one of the riot cities back in the day

A black street tough guy known as cool breeze was trying to mess with this geeky looking white guy as he walked home from the corner store.

I sympathized with the white guy because the black guy was being an unjust bully. I was too small though to intervene.

But to my happy surprise the white guy stood up for himself and handled the situation and had cool breeze running...ha ha

I never forgot that incident. It taught me about bullies, race, and courage.

And I knew somewhere in the south or somewhere in our country a black kid was getting the same crap from a white kid or kids.

Ultimately its not about race….It’s all about justice, good and evil, right and wrong...being kind.

Race is just another excuse for people to be stupid

I live just outside Chicago, and have lived in Chicago proper as well, for many years. This is nothing new.

Its all related to the "give me something" attitude. All white people are racist. Even the 630,000 white people who died fighting to free the slaves in the civil war. They are racist too. Why? Because its easy to blame people who aren't there to defend themselves. Black people ignore the fact that the first government recognized slave owner in the US was a black man. They regularly ignore the fact that black people sold their own into slavery. But only here in the US is it still a problem. Black people in Canada or Europe don't act like black people in the US. Its only a problem here because this is the only place where you can get a hand out if you whine loud enough. Black people think they have a lock on slavery and being racist when they feel like it. Well, guess what... I am Italian. My people were slaves long before black people were. They used to dip us in oil, impale us on pikes, and use us to light garden dinner parties. The difference between us and black people? We got over it and made something of ourselves. We aren't still sitting around centuries later waiting for a handout that is never going to come.

Get over this "I deserve money because something bad happened to someone hundreds of years ago" attitude. Start acting like part of a society instead of condemning everything and everyone that isn't exactly like you. If you want to boycott the oscars, then boycott the bet awards too. If either one of them is racist, its the bet's. Stop creating and maintaining barriers between the races and maybe others will do the same.

Which makes her a #ty person, its immediate reflection on you is nothing; how you let it affect you though...

Right. That makes her racist. Nobody is arguing that part.

But a minute ago, the way you worded that question, you did the same thing to her that she did to you. Only you didn't direct it at her is all. But by asking, "Hey, why did that Nigger just say "F-You Whitey" (for example), well, it might be because you refer to them as 'n-word'.

That makes both sides racist. Make sense??

Wow, why was that post censored???

I was just pointing out an observation. I didn't even say anything worthy of censoring in that post?? How is it my fault??? I didn't program the censors here??? I just pointed out a flaw which I myself just noticed right now.

Talk about shooting the messenger on that one.

When you’re young if you learn from superiors or friends, injustice, and or racism from either side you may be like the person who called the op a slur. That added to being a bully is a lethal combination.

The ignorant woman who called the OP a slur is a racist and a bully.

She has become dehumanized….And has to relearn how to be a human being.

We learn this stuff when were young and it stays with us.

You have to learn to love, to empathize with another, and that will transcend even racism

Strange we never hear any of the presidential candidates ever talk about love.

Yet their all so religious.

we have to learn to love...its possible.

Explain how it doesn't. Because she called you a name first???

I don't understand the disconnect here. Honestly. I don't know how you can't see it.

She references you as "F-You White Girl" making her usage of that reference a racist comment.
You reference her as "N-word" making your usage of that reference a racist comment.
How can you argue that???

Op, you seemed to have skipped over my other post in this thread, but I will reiterate my point:

there are nice black people (non-racist) in Chicago and there are not-nice black people (racist) in Chicago. There are nice white people (non-racist) in Chicago and there are not-nice (racist) white people in Chicago. And that's pretty much the same all over the country. So exactly what is your point?

Ok, at first I thought you might be serious but you're approaching troll status now.

Nobody can be this blind to the meaning of a double standard.

It's not ok for her to say something racist to you.

Nor for you to say something racist back.

So, just from your example alone, she was in the wrong the moment she said that to you.

You were ok until you made reference to her with the word "'n-word'". Look at your own post. You know you said it, it's right there. So if it's not ok for her to call you cracker, then it's not ok for you to call her 'n-word'. Which is what you called her only you were talking to us instead of her, but that makes little difference how you used it. Why would you reference her with that word??

You’re right.

We have to stop, and many of us do this, generalizing and making an experience reflect on all people...

It’s a common deception of the mind

There are some human beings who are so good their saintly and others very bad.

Literally the only person here that has called you a racist is YOU.

Wtf are you going on about? Sorry someone yelled at you in the street, welcome to the real world. Has been happening forever.

Ohh nm there was an edit. One that was justified as you decided to start the racial slurs. Find it funny you are trying to make this point but then resort to calling the lady a term widely used by racist...
