Is Donald Trump a thug? Are we going to see more violence at political rallies?

We all know that Donald Trump likes to bully and insult people by word of mouth, but is he also a physical bully? Things are getting violent between Democrats and Trump supporters and Trump seems to support the violence, even threatening to send some of his thugs over to Bernie rallies.

In the meantime, Trump is alternating between passing condemnations of violence paired with blatant celebrations of it.

On Sunday, he said on NBC's "Meet The Press" that he was considering paying legal bills for the 78-year old supporter who was arrested for sucker-punching a black protester on camera. He tweeted that Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders, who Trump blames for the protesters at his rallies, needed to "be careful" or he'd send his supporters to disrupt his events.

Some activist groups supporting Sanders participated in the Chicago protests, but Sanders has said his own campaign had nothing to do with them and called on Trump to condemn violence.

"[My] personality, eh, they don't love it so much but that's okay," Trump told the crowd in Boca Raton on Sunday after arriving in a helicopter. "Who cares? Who the hell cares about that? We got to straighten out our country."

NBC News

Trump supporters are somewhat weary of his tone, and not all of them support the violence he backs. But Donald Trump wants to take our country back. Would he be willing to resort to violence to do it? If he becomes President, what kind of policies is he going to put in place with this attitude of violence combined with one of intolerance of people with different ideals than him?

Are we going to see increasing violence at political rallies this year because of Donald Trump's rhetoric? Bernie Sanders condemns violence, but it is true that some of his followers get frothy towards Trump. Could this violence at political rallies turn into more, causing things to get violent elsewhere politically in the U.S.?

You only need to watch the documentary on trumps golf course in Scotland to see what a bully this man is. Willing to use his own private security to shut down opposition. He bullies senior citizens in Scotland who won't move to make way for his golf course. So yes he is a bully, yet that seems appealing to a large section of Americans

See your future president cut water supplies to senior citizens what a guy

I think that he is going to become a nationalist icon. Combined with his support of bullying and totalitarian tactics, this could turn into a mess.

Trump is a coward that has been schooled by social engineers to take advantage of the ignorance of far too many Americans.

A vote for Trump is a vote for Hillary!

Enjoy the reality of that statement, all of those Trump supporters who have fallen for the psychological manipulation of partisan politics.

Please do yourself a favor and spend more time critically thinking about such things as their mutual connection to the CFR before you believe they are not on the same team!

just my humble opinion

Speaking as a Scottish person.....A whole heap of us didn't love the guy so much, before he started his presidential run.....
Yes ! he is an obnoxious bully who will spit his dummy ( soother for the american readers ) out if he doesn't get his own way.
He has lived a life where he gets " some good people " in to do stuff for him. He doesn't accept any kind of criticism.

He is using all kinds of rhetoric that seems to spring out of deeply racist issues to appeal to a country that has already been through divisive periods in it's history. Instead of trying to unite a country and make it better, he is tearing it apart.

I know that across the pond your election runs can get bitter and it is much more " No hold barred " kind of style than we see over here, but seriously....it is starting to take the shape of a terrible kind of car crash reality TV that involves the entire nation.

I do think that there will be many more instances of violent clashes in the run up to your nominations. Appealing to such a base level of ignorance in an effort to gain political support, how could it not incite violence ?

So far.. I must have missed ANY policies that the Trumpet has mentioned, Make America Great again ? Not even an original slogan, if he couldn't even come up with his own unique campaign slogan, which is a couple of words, how the hell is he going to make policy and run a country ?

Can you imagine this guy sitting down with other world leaders and heads of state to discuss foreign policy ? He probably can't even spell diplomacy.

What I find most worrying of all is that in a country the size of US, this selection of candidates is the best you have ? I have tried to imagine each of them as a world's statesman / woman. I can't see Trumpet cutting it.

It is time he got voted off the show.

I dont agree with everything Trump says. But this violence is almost entirely being instigated by far left thugs. They attack and then pretend to be victims. Just like the far left has been doing with so many things the last few years. I voted for Obama 7 years ago and have been massively disappointed. Hes pushed 7 years of race baiting and massive governmemt infringement upon on our lives while doing an end round the constitution.

The democratic party has gone so far left its off the reservation. Its gone so crazy that it thinks violence it is instigating is morally ok. They champion the quashing of free speech and political viewpoints that they dont agree with. The far left is far out of line, whether one agrees with Trump or not.

To be fair I've never heard of a "non aggressive business man", that's an oxymoron of the highest order. Having said that, trump absolutely divides, and he creates a toxic environment surrounding his campaign. Many great leaders would have recognized the riot as an opportunity to bring people together, instead trump canceled and is threatening Bernie with his own hordes or angry Americans. So yes, more violence should be expected -

"What we've got here is failure to communicate, some men you just can't reach,
So you get what we had last week, which is the way he wants it, well he gets it"

I really don't see how its all Trumps fault all of a sudden. This country has been a cesspool for a while now.

In fact, thats a big part of his appeal as well I think. I haven't seen him say anything racist or sexist but that's all the establishment liars can talk about. He seems to upset alot of the status quo politicians, so thats why I'm getting out for the first time since 2004 and casting my pointless vote for him.

More likely to be instigated by media manipulation.

They use the soundbites to stir up a nation, rinse and repeat until they get the desired effect.

I don't have stats but I would bet on Trumpet's "popularity" being directly correlated to the amount of airtime and coverage he gets.

This is all created by one George Soros through moveon.org. What better way to put his candidate in office. Turn the 2 best candidates against each other. Trump and Sanders. Cruz , Rubio , Kasich are meaningless to him. Whose posters were the protesters holding up at the Trump rally ? Were they truly Sanders supporters ? Any of them ? Or were they plants to kick off the battle ? Now Soros is calling for more of the same. Why ? He does not care who or how many are injured or worse. Just getting his candidate elected. He has to finish Sanders and knock down Trump for the final coup de grace in November.
His candidate - Hillary Clinton.
Brilliant strategy from an evil man.
