No, he's being compared to Hitler because he resembles Hitler in how he delivers speeches. Trump has studied Hitler, and had a book of speeches written by Hitler beside his bed:

Ivana Trump told her lawyer Michael Kennedy that from time to time her husband reads a book of Hitler's collected speeches, My New Order, which he keeps in a cabinet by his bed. Kennedy now guards a copy of My New Order in a closet at his office, as if it were a grenade. Hitler's speeches, from his earliest days up through the Phony War of 1939, reveal his extraordinary ability as a master propagandist.

That's almost as bad as a forced pledge to vote for Obama.

"Professor Made Students Sign ‘Vote for Obama’ Pledge

A Florida community college has launched an investigation and placed a tenured professor on leave over reports that she made students in a math class sign a pledge to vote for President Obama".

That is still different. That looked more like a way to do a poll for free and get contact information to send contribution requests. This thing that looks like it is a neo nazi meet up rather than a campaign rally is a problem.

It's different only when Trump does it. Then he is compared to Hitler. When Obama or Hillary surrogates do it, it's just an innocent pledge. Like when Madeline Albright said there is a special place in hell for women who don't vote for her. At least Trump hasn't threatened eternal damnation to those that don't vote for him.

Trump's speeches are being compared to hitler's by people who have obviously never read a hitler speech.

Here is just a small example but it has a few of Hitler's coommon thenes and talking points.

Hitler criticizes capitalism and extolls the vitues of socialism. Trump is unapologetically pro capitalism so no commonality with Hitler there.

Two different paths in life! Franklin Roosevelt took power in the United States as the candidate of a thoroughly capitalistic party, which helps those who serve it. When I became the Chancellor of the German Reich, I was the leader of a popular national movement, which I had created myself.

Hitler is disgusted by Roosevlet because he comes from a wealthy family. As Hitler puts ot he is one of the "upper ten thousands" which is the nazi socialists version of the "1%" meme used by modern socialsists. Trump comes from wealth of course, so no commonality with hitler there.

First of all, the personal side of things: I understand very well that there is a world of difference between my own outlook on life and attitude, and that of President Roosevelt. Roosevelt came from an extremely wealthy family. By birth and origin he belonged to that class of people that is privileged in a democracy and assured of advancement. I myself was only the child of a small and poor family, and I had to struggle through life by work and effort in spite of immense hardships. As a member of the privileged class, Roosevelt experienced the [First] World War in a position under Wilson's shadow [as assistant secretary of the Navy]. As a result, he only knew the agreeable consequences of a conflict between nations from which some profited while others lost their lives. During this same period, I lived very differently. I was not one of those who made history or profits, but rather one of those who carried out orders. As an ordinary soldier during those four years, I tried to do my duty in the face of the enemy. Of course, I returned from the war just as poor as when I entered in the fall of 1914. I thus shared my fate with millions of others, while Mr. Roosevelt shared his with the so-called upper ten thousand.

Hitler goes after the jews. Trump proudly supoorts jews and loves his jewish family members.

The "brain trust" that served the new American president was made up of members of the same national group that we fought against in Germany as a parasitical expression of humanity, and which we began to remove from public life.

The democrats call white people rapists and murderers? Say they're nothing but drains on society? Want to run them out of the country?

You again.

According to your link, the journalist was going on heresay, a he said she said thing, and then questioned Trump about it. Trump said one of his jewish freinds gave him a copy of Mein Kampf a long time ago, then the reporter or whoever said it was a copy of hitlers speeches, to which donald said if it was a copy of hitlers speeches, and he wasn't saying that it was (since apparently he was confused as to why the reporter would say that so felt perhaps he should check his book collection to be certain prior to giving a definitive answer on even having hitlers speeches), that he would never read them. (perhaps because he HAD never read them)

but you can go with the he said she said (which of course is only hearsay) and hope it is more accurate than Trump's words, who doesn't think he even owns that book. But if he did, and it was a gift from a jewish freind, whether or not it's Mein Kampf or hitlers speeches, its really not a big issue.

I have books that were given to me, that I kept because they were gifts and never read because I found them offensive, but to the giver they were not offensive (and no they were not anything by hitler, they were anti christian types of books) but I also never gave them away because they were gifts, and you don't give away gifts people give you, no matter how offensive you find them.

Going by personal experience, I am less inclined to believe hearsay than to believe Trump was given a gift he may never have read.

Trump has praised Mexicans and employed thousands of immigrants from all over the world, including Mexicans. Trump loves immigrants so much he married one.

Do you have any examples of Hitler praising jews or proudly stating he hired jews for gainful employment?

And of course Trump was clearly reffering to illegal aliens who raped and committed other crimes as rapists and criminals, NOT ALL MEXICANS.

Personally, I find this more frightening (or at least creepy)

www.alternet.org...

During the Crusades estimates range to up to 9m people killed by religious zealots. I am going to use your leap to conclusion to decide that Ted Cruz is going to start another Crusade to exterminate millions in the name of Christianity.

I rather suspect that Cruz wont turn into a middle ages butcher of millions but I guess if we're going to try and associate Trump asking people to stick their hands in the air to promise to vote for him with him being the reincarnation of Hitler and on route to killing millions then I guess I really should be terrified of the 200 year extermination of innocent people that Cruz is going to set off.

Probably best though not to be so scared.

Oh here is Hillary giving a Nazi salute

www.thedailyrash.com...

Its also interesting that she would laugh uncontrollably at the sheer joy of murdering people in Libya.. have you seen that interview? Now that was scary.

Here's Bernie

and another Hillary

We could go on of course and I can even find pics of Hillary supporters giving what look like Nazi salutes.

Is it really necessary to make things up because you don't like someone?

If you have some evidence that Trump has ever had Nazi leanings or intends to mimic Hitler then provide them and have a proper discussion.

Trump is not against the minorities, he is actually quite supportive of them just in a different way. He is NOT pandering to them specifically, parading them around like tokens, and demeaning everyone else in order to gain the minority vote. IN essence, he is treating minorities like thinking people. (what a concept!)

He is saying the illegals coming across the border need to stop coming illegally, as its an insult to all who came here legally. He is saying there are lots of criminals coming here illegally (fact) and he is saying that the law needs to be enforced where concerns immigration, all of it needs to be legal, and those who come by other means need to be deported.

He is also saying that while there is a question of the governments competence in vetting immigrants from Muslim majority nations, we need to put a temporary hold on immigration until the government learns how best to properly vet those immigrants, since we cannot tell the pacifist from the terrorist. (common sense really, something liberals lack)

SO no, he hopes to put the best interests of ALL americans first - rather than the interest of people who either do not live in this country, or have not entered this country legally. ALL Americans, regardless of race or creed, SHOULD be put first, not anyone else. It's our job to have a good nation for it's people FIRST.

We have infrastructure falling apart, we have homeless living in the streets, we have veterans without decent care, and YOU want to complain about how we aren't just opening our borders to everyone, terrorists, mexicans and criminals. Lets fix OUR problems, lets have immigration be by legal means and safe, lets only let the people in who have not declared war on us, lets take care of our own, bring jobs BACK to this country, lets save the money we spend on the welfare and housing for illegals to begin fixing some of our infrastructure.. for the betterment of all our people.

SO racist and terrifying indeed. Only to those who hate America and its people - all of them.

I think Trump treats all Americans as equal and as you say won't stoop to pander to any minority. All equal.
he actually has a good record of picking people on merit, not sex, not skin colour, not religion. In fact I believe he placed a woman in charge of the construction of Trump tower in the 1980s - very rare at the time.

Today, it's got so bad that even saying All Lives Matter is viewed as being racist. In fact to leading Black Lives Matter activists its probably akin to wearing a white robe and hood and carrying around a rope and cross. Its got to the point where you are a racist unless you pander and submit to questioning, giving acceptable answers. It's got to stop.

You cant say its all the benign without any of the vice. Sorry.

He has been hypercritical of minorities, and his supporters who have been openly insane and supporting a cultural divide have not been corrected by him. No, they have been encouraged.

EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING he is saying I agree with. He doesnt get to just parrot our sentiment and win an election after suddenly switching poles. He was a Hillary supporter for YEARS. I dont care if suddenly he saw the light. I dont buy it and frankly no one should.

You cant use our own arguments of years past against us and say we are democrats, Hillary supporters or what ever makes it easier to mark an opposition as less than reasonable.

Where was he for years? I will tell you where, PROFITING from democrat policies and supporting people like the Clinton's, Inviting them to his personal events like his freaking wedding and sending huge swaths of money their way to advance their cause. He probably still does.

So what ever. WE designed his platform and now he just does a copy and paste of thought and I am supposed to have HOPE in a billionaire who was a democratic cronie up until this election.....freaking good old boy.

Please.

I have no words. No words. How can people really think he is not establishment? How can they forget his YEARS of support for democrats and specifically Hillary.

Its too much to ask. Sorry. Its like Bush starting up the WMD thing again and PROMISING this time he is a democrat out to save us from the evil republicans he never really liked.

No.
