I have no doubt that the Earth will be hit by a large rock. I disagree that it will be a surprise.

I'm not concerned with the BIG one that might hit..im quietly confident that if we know it's coming, mankind will overcome it and find a solution. Land on it and move it off course. Faced with our doom, we will overcome the problem together.

What I DO think will hit out of the blue is a rock large enough do a lot of damage to a city block. Hopefully it will hit in the ocean, like the one off the coast of Brazil. But one day... one will hit a city and i don't think we will see it coming.
