Well, the Peace Prize has always been up for grabs. Physics, that's different.

Of course, leaving it in the hands of any particular committee is always problematic. A tiny democracy is still a democracy, based on the idea that a group of people are smarter than one. Dumb notion.

Hitler was only nominated, which is no great feat in itself as thousands can be nominated. As for Trump's nomination, very unlikely he will be on the short list.

Oh that's good. Might as well be though for all the meaning I give to it.

Heck technically whoever puts mutually assured destruction into motion and kills us all deserves one by some definition's of peace. After all, can't much more peaceful and than everyone being dead.

Sadly the award is now used as a political tool and to influence global politics. It used to be meaningful, but now who really cares who wins it? Once Obama received it for being a complete zero the importance of the award was diminished beyond relevance.
