Hello, 9 year lurker here

Hello,

Been lurking for about 9 years or more. I've seen this forum go through a lot of changes. Never really had the time due to work to create threads, or thought it important to reply to posts, but since my new job allows me more flexibility and time, I decided to join you guys.

I'm from Canada, but have been following American politics with interest, and I also enjoy reading anything that could be considered alternative news.

I miss the good old days when this forum was filled with doom porn. I found it so entertaining. Maybe we should dig up some old prophecies...

I also remember reading a lot of threads about the Mars One project. That was interesting too.

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only long-time lurker who decided to join after many years. It does feel a tad bit awkward, but I'm looking forward to the 'mayhem'.

Thank you. Yes, I believe I know the ins and outs. It's nice though being able to contribute and post.
I'm currently trying to decide on what kind of thread I would like to create.

I miss nibiru/2012 with a passion. Nothing else ever came close on my doom porn map. I'm not joking I miss it bad. So I've been substituting life porn in instead lol. Exciting new technologies or spiritual findings. But still miss the doom.

Yes, since doom porn has faded, I started looking into ancient civilizations and the paranormal.

Ps: I'm still trying to figure out how to make my avatar size fill the background. It's harder than it seems.

Im in phone gars to link but look into ats thread "avatar creations" you need to set a blank background for the image to appear large and not as a avatar but as a mini background. So search ats or use google search find thAt thread and the first or second or maybe third post will have a link or have the info u need to make your avatar work. a reply to: Harut

Welcome from a real newbie. I jumped in after my first week because most of that week was spent dreading the introduction part, so I just held my nose and jumped in to get it over with.

But you did it in style, complete with beautiful Avatar. Nice. In fact, yours is the "prettiest" introductory post out there, with the beautiful array of Avatars. It reminds me of how a military wedding is more thrilling than a normal one. In fact, I hesitated to post because of that ugly grey box that currently defines me. Sorry for the grey splat.

So, lucky me, lucky us...you have nine years of pent up posts to do. And you've already leaked out some older interests that have already been echoed back.

Since you have a handle on the graphics aspect, perhaps you should add a quote that you were already lurking here for nine years. It will bring out the good old guys I hear rumors of. I'm looking forward to looking over your shoulder.

Now, no excuses, get writing.
