In my book you get "The Creepiest ATS Thread Ever" award, holy moly, thats horror movie stuff.
He was last seen in Majorca, thats a really long way from the southern phillipines. I wonder if he died in the pacific or the atlantic?

If he died in the Atlantic, I cannot see the Panamanians letting him through the canal.

The reason I'm wondering is that, I used to follow blue water yacht racing. During a Whitbread challenge in the 90's , one of competitors e beacon went off while he was in the very remote south Pacific, he was so far out that it took 2 weeks for the nearest freighter to get to the site, he nor his boat was found. Some thing like 2 years later the boat turned up in the mid Atlantic.

Well, this seems rather strange:

"It was not known at the time how he died, but police confirmed today that an autopsy had revealed he suffered a heart attack about seven days prior to his body being discovered.!"

Article

I'm no expert in mummification but seven days seems a bit extreme.

I wonder how they arrived at that conclusion.

Traditionally, you'd need to paint it black and tie it to the dock for a bit.
