I am confused?

Why is God/Jesus doing geometry in this image. From a Medieval bible?

I thought the bible was religion? Not geometry?

FYI: Fractals were not officially discovered until 1975?

A fractal is a natural phenomenon or a mathematical set that exhibits a repeating pattern that displays at every scale. It is also known as expanding symmetry or evolving symmetry. If the replication is exactly the same at every scale, it is called a self-similar pattern. An example of this is the Menger Sponge.Fractals can also be nearly the same at different levels. This latter pattern is illustrated in the magnifications of the Mandelbrot set. Fractals also include the idea of a detailed pattern that repeats itself

Google.

Probably because, in the Mediaeval world, the universe is going round in circles; the planets in small circles, the stars in a much larger circle.

Not buying it. What are you trying to sell? Religion?

Maybe it just took the artists imagination.

Maybe you should google the image and research it yourself, that's what anyone who would really like to know would do.

Pine cone, look at the leaves

I already did that. look at the results.

I dunno. I mean, if you believe that god created the universe, than he has been doing geometry since day 1. Maybe this is an artistic representation of creation.

In this case, I'm just trying to sell history.
You asked why a mediaeval artist would want to show God drawing circles, and I offered you the probable historical explanation; that he was depicting God drawing out the orbits of the heavenly bodies, the planets and the stars.
It's just a question of trying to understand the outlook of people in another culture than your own.

In all likelihood, they only meant to symbolize God measuring out his creation. The "fractal pattern" is probably just the waters above the firmament - you know, where he created a firmament to separate the waters?

Edit: IMO, you are going about it all wrong by trying to learn byway of deciphering other people's translations, instead of going to the source of their translations for yourself. Seriously, what you're doing is like trying to find God by looking at pictures or ideas that aren't of God but of other people's ideas of God.

Even in the image below you can clearly see the flower of life. the Torus.

So no, the bible is not spiritual. It is science, power and control.

Do you honestly think I just sat on the toilet and came up with this?

I dont see the likelyness ?

Fractals was discovered by Benoit Mandelbrot
Benoit Mandelbrot

The math was a feed back algorithm into itself. Originally an idea to predict weather patterens.
The idea that butterflie wings could set up a hurricane somewhere else -- hence chaos theory.

With the right seed of numbers and calculations you can make just about anything.

Explore the julia set, its also very facinating, but really. Its just a complex math problem set in motion.

Check this demo out. Here its calculated in 3D, which i find awe inspiring

(Download this demo, and run it for yourself... its only 8kb! All in the YT link.)

God made math you can argue... but you'll never find the answer.

And what are we to take from that picture? That the person who made it had discovered the ultimate truth? That, secretly, God is a scientist or mathematician because some guy sculpted the flower of life below a cross?

And what of all the people who draw skulls or roses or other such things along with crosses?

You realize that you're suffering heavily from confirmation bias?

As GFX cards got better, you could squeeze an entire landscape down to 4kb (thats 4.096 bytes)

Take a look, and if you dont believe me, download the demo yourself and run it.

The image you posted doesn't show any fractals. Just because you think it bears a passing resemblance to the Mandelbrot set does not make it so. And this:

I'm suffering with truth.

And it hurts.

Because it seems no one can or wants to see it.

Don't imply I'm crazy.

I have had the time to sit down and think.

What do you think makes matter?

Ill tell you the 3 invisibles.

Energy, vibration and frequency.

The ancients knew the universe is made of bubbles long before Stephen Hawking's had a speak and spell.

His Quote.

The universe is made of bubbles.

Look at the Patten, The flower of life, The Torus.

Bubbles.

What "GOD" are you referring to ? This math was long discovered well before 0BC.
Take a good, really good look at the Great Pyramid of Giza.

I thought the bible was religion? Not geometry?

The bible was written by man (religious dogma). The universe was created by; implemented from a force that understood geometry. The Masons call this within their symbol of the compass and level "the G" that refers to God=Geometry.
