Be where? Dead`?

Nope, out there. Living near, or between, other stars.

Our star has a few billion years left. The Galaxy, many more.

Hence why I said I would take it as my last one! Though once the expansion of the sun starts, it won't be millions of years.

You really sure you arent religious

Well, we will continue to evolve. But in the next 10,000 years not so much that you notice from a physiological point of view.

Cybernetic hybridization to some degree, probably. But still human.

Pretty sure.

Last time I asked god a question I didn't get a response.

Everyone is entitled to a different point of view. Colonization is a very long time away I would of thought, whereas natural disasters are a constant possibility, any moment an unstoppable meteor big enough to effectively wipe out humanity could begin its impact course. A large enough solar flare could kill us. the eruption of a super volcano could be capable of ending humanity. Global pandemic. Black holes. Gamma Ray burst. Nuclear warfare. plus many others I am sure. But who knows. I will be dead before colonization of space anyway.

You are right. Earth will become uninhabitable by humans. It could happen catastrophically or gradually. It could occur by our own hand or randomly (on a cosmic scale). That's why first steps at getting the hell out of here are important. No matter how small they are.

Unless of course, you just hate humanity on general principles.

I don't. My dog doesn't.

Im gonna give you a fantastic insight in something,

1. We are a part of this planet.
2. We share DNA with everything on this planet
3. We can only break down food thats grown on our own planet
4. We need the magnetic field to shield us from radiation

Now continue

We're also not a slave to this planet. Earth is the Child of a Greater Mother, which makes that Galactic Womb in the sky your Grandmother's, lol.

Where do you think all that solar wind comes from?

Indeed it becomes a race against time. Colonization VS Impending Doom. I don't hate humanity it just seems pointless cheering on their survival. As a general population they are stupid, capable of superior thinking to other species, capable of great achievements sure, But as far as critical thinking skills go a lot of dumb people inhabiting this planet.

Regardless of planet the rich will be rich and the poor will be poor. Even more so perhaps with the power that comes with colonisation of another planet.

A question. Say this is achieved and a village, small town, perhaps very small city is built on mars. Say the earths love for people is wearing thin, population is at an extreme high, food and water supply has been gradually declining due to pollution and the need to keep up with the masses. Homelessness is so high you almost have communities within communities of homeless people. Plus much more issues as I am sure you can imagine. As time goes on the problems increase at an increased speed. So literally a ticking time bomb. Do you believe you, or the equivalent of you in this time will be on that shuttle? Do you believe everyone will be on that shuttle?

Refreshing? Why do people think this is "new"?

Mouth breathers think "Hollywood" dictates how we (humans) will concer space which has nothing to do w/reality.

Yes, radiation will have to be shielded. But we will be removed from Earth. No resupply. No help from outside. It will have 2 be self sufficient. Which means every single piece of energy created will have to be recycled.

Truth is we aren't there yet.

"Grandma" has given birth to over 200 billion "suns" and continues to this day. Not bad for lady who's over 13 billion years old. Still kinda sexy in the right frequency after a few drinks.

Loosen up smarty pants.

No. Not everyone. But you are confusing colonization with evacuation.

I don't believe there will be much difference between colonisation and evacuation when, and if, the time comes.

It will be a matter of importance. Politicians, The obscenely rich, the rich, the wealthy, the middle class, the specialists (doctors, surgeons, Scientists, techno geniuses...). I don't believe the poor will be considered any sort of priority except for filling up any extra space that may exist so that there is still an indoctrinated slave class; nor the disabled or mentally handicapped.

I think colonisation will be a pretty brutal period in time. My support would go out to the common masses in the hope they take back liberty and self worth and leave the "superior people" behind.

So a really honest question, how many of Americans can adjust to a "new" set of values? 20 percent?
