The Unicorn (Juliet the Shetland pony) was reported by concerned motorists as they saw it galloping down the Central Valley road, obviously this Unicorn had lost its ability to fly so the California highway patrol sprung into action to rescue the mythical creature.

Juliet had been posing as a unicorn for a photo-shoot in Madera Ranchos when she got bored and decided to make a run for it , she was finally persuaded to give up her escape plan by her friend , a horse , who whinnied at Juliet who whinnied back and then ran to her friend.

Safely back in the loving arms of her family they all went home and lived happily ever after.

Lol.. just what I was thinking. Imagine speeding past and thinking what the f was that?
You would be convinced unicorns are real and would be one of those stories you always told people with pure belief. .
Just goes to show though.. people think they spot something unexplained but could be a perfectly good explanation for it.

Can you imagine being in a patrol car when you hear the radio report. "Attention all units. Be only the lookout for a white unicorn. Around 5 foot high with a twisty gold horn and a floral saddle. Last seen traveling South down highway 41".

Man, that would have been slightly more magical than driving up highway 71 alongside the Blues Brothers last night. That was an awesome experience too, but unicorn would have given it a run for its money.

I don't know why but this is what pops in my mind when I see the word unicorn:

I'm glad they were able to get Juliet back unharmed.

Takes it to a whole other perspective when people say, I wish i could ride a unicorn

or

I had the strangest dream last night...something to do with unicorns

Surprised the cops didn't shoot it...

Maybe they save their bullets for the other, even more mythical beast...

The innocent citizen?

Never heard something so ridiculous in my life.

Unicorns can't fly.

Sorry mate, but your link is broken. Unless you can provide some solid evidence, I must maintain that Unicorns are indeed, flightless.

Unless you crossbreed your Unicorn with a Pegasus, but that's just crazy talk.

What??
You never heard of Lady Rainicorn....?

Okay okay... so not a pedigree, pure Unicorn but still, she's part unicorn and can fly

Well, the missus says your Rainicorn doesn't count because she's a fictional character.

So there.

As opposed to all the real, genuine, bona-fide Unicorns.

LOL Nice one...

Her expertise also says that a Unicorn x Pegasus is an Alacorn, apparently.

I think I need to reassess my life.

Wikipedia has never been an accepted source.

Anyone could've just made that up.
