Well, it seems that Mr. Trump has his first endorsement and it came from the Bush camp. This is showing that Rubio does not have the establishment buttoned up.

“Donald Trump has clearly demonstrated that he has both the guts and the fortitude to return our nation’s jobs stolen by China, take on our enemies like ISIS, Iran, North Korea and Russia, and most importantly, reestablish the opportunity for our children and grandchildren to attain the American Dream,” Collins said in a statement released first to The Buffalo News. “That is why I am proud to endorse him as the next President of the United States.”

Collins had previously endorsed former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, who ended his bid for the nomination after a disappointing fourth-place finish in Saturday’s South Carolina primary.

n contrast to Trump, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio has won endorsements from 59 current governors, senators and House members, according to the FiveThirtyEight.com “Endorsement Primary.” Meanwhile, 25 governors and federal lawmakers have endorsed Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and seven have endorsed Ohio Gov. John Kasich.

www.buffalonews.com...

I am thinking that this is the first of many in the weeks leading up to Super Tuesday. A lot of GOP members wanted to see how Nevada played out and it was a bloodbath. He took almost 50% and was higher, which is unusual, than his polling numbers.

What did the Trump have to say...

At the same time, though, it’s hard to say what Collins’ endorsement will mean to Trump – especially given what the Republican front-runner said on “Good Morning America” Wednesday morning.

“Now, and as of yesterday, people were calling, a lot of people were calling and I’ll have many endorsements soon, but it’s not something I want to work for, to be honest with you, because it’s a waste of time,” Trump said. “Endorsements mean very little.”

Classic.....

To clarify, this is not his first endorsement, it is simply his first congressional endorsement. But that's cool that he might start getting some now. Sessions has said he liked Trumps answers, but has not endorsed him yet. He may end up endorsing Trump as well, before this is over.

A endorsement from the Bush clan hardly something I'd want or find encourageing.....

Controlled opposition still blaring at me here...,

I really like his response. It was spot on. I am sure that they will be coming soon as Cruz or Rubio will be gone after Super Tuesday and it will really get fun.

I believe that is why Trump was downplaying the importance of endorsements. By downplaying them he eliminates two issues.

1. Getting endorsements from undesirables such as the Jeb! camp or the KKK for example.
2. Cruz getting endorsements like the one he got from the Texas governor. Trump wants to win Texas bad.

Trump was very wise to downplay endorsements at this time.

If Cruz drops out, I think Trump will get lots of his voters. Trump and Cruz are both seen as anti-establishment, and supported for those reasons. I honestly don't think many from the Cruz camp will go toward Rubio at all. All he is picking up is the establishment votes, and the majority who are voting in these primaries, are all anti-establishment, fix the establishment voters.

It is Cruz I would like to see gone, because then, Trump will literally win by a landslide I think. I don't think it will be a close race at all if that happens.

Trump is picking up steam in Texas according to the polls, but Cruz is still ahead. Not sure if we can trust the media on that one though.

If Trump wins Texas, I will say that Cruz is gone - if you cannot win your home state then there is nothing for you I don't think.

After Nevada it's pretty clear who the next GOP candidate is going to be. The GOP has no choice but to start to coalesce around Trump. You're going to see it in the Debate this Thursday and going forward and especially if Super Tuesday breaks big for Trump. The race is no longer about who gets the Nod, it's about who gets to have a say in the Trump Cabinet, possibly as VP or lesser positions.

Trump Won.

He won't be kicking anything

He will only be kicking a brick wall.
Congress will block him at every term.

Hell you will see the most bipartisan congress in US history as republicans and democrats unite to make his term a failure and show the public voting for a outside candidate = failure.

Same with sanders,

And hell wouldn't be surprised if Trump caused to much trouble they would JFK him.

And Trump will make it very clear and be vocal about the "low energy" congress.

He'll tell them all to pack their bags and have the american people vote in replacements for them.

This guy's going to seriously bust some balls.

Edit: Go Bernie!

But either way, Trump can't be stopped and Congress is going to get schlonged

You can't just fire a politician!

O God the naivety as bad as a sanders thread!

You sound like Obama supporters with "hope and change"

And yes he can be stopped..... By a bullet from a CIA sniper rifle

You are right. It is not a business...but Congress has made it one with all of its kickbacks and bribes. They are all bought and paid for and Trump will have no problem calling them out. Why NOT? They are all public servants...yes. Servants. They are nothing special and he will not treat the snowflakes special. Reagan didn't.

Want to know the greatest power in politics though? Information. If you can leverage information you can get things done. Trump knows a lot of people and knows who buys and sells politicians. Think he will not leverage that?

I have to say, that I never, ever in my wildest dream would have even imagined that Trump will be this far in the campaign, actually I was giving him just a few months before dropping out of the race.

Very interesting primaries, like the ones we have never seen.

Even as controversial as Trump is, I have to say, is different, oh, yes, different, politics will never be the same after Trump.

You hit it right on the money (and made me spit out my coffee).

If you are in Congress and don't play ball with Trump...

He's going to schlong you real good. And, in front of everyone.

Which is why he will likely end up eating a bullet.

That was a topic that my husband and I have debate very much, when it comes to Trump becoming president, hell, I am sure that he already knows that he is target, for that reason, I think he like the presidential seat soo much, is a challenge, I bet he have already his well pay private army to make sure he stays alive, because trusting the secret service will be a mistake.
