.... the Scots ... that will keep us in.

OMFG if this happens.

Such sweet sweet karma.

Why?

It was your own stupid arse country that voted to stay in the union! Us English did not have a vote. IT WAS ALL YOUR OWN CORWALDY DOING!

Nothing to do with English, it's to do with BritNats. Those who did everything possible to keep us in the UK and that includes people from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, backed by ALL of the media not just some.

A lot of those same people want the UK to be out of EU, so if it turns out that people like me who wanted our country (and btw I object to you calling my country 'stupid arse'. Why the insults ? I think it's the best country in the world by a long way) out of the UK now prevent the BritNats from getting their country out of EU that to me will be fantastic.

I don't think it will happen because even if everyone in Scotland voted to stay in EU it's only 10% of the UK vote. At most people like me would be maybe 3 or 4% of the UK vote.

From Vote Leave:

Imagine if we Vote Leave in 45 days’ time… We can take back control of our courts and deport dangerous criminals who are currently protected by EU law.

Boris makes the case for Vote Leave

Boris Johnson made an important speech www.voteleavetakecontrol.org... oteleave today making it clear why we should take back control from the EU. He said that the Prime Minister’s renegotiation had not changed our relationship with the EU, and that it proved that Brussels is incapable of reform He also called on the Government to stop its ‘campaign of subterfuge’, to conceal the scale of constitutional changes involved if we voted to stay in the EU.

He addressed the premise that Britain would fail economically outside the EU, and said that it was an ‘absurd’ concept that Britain has no power to conduct its own trade negotiations and do deals with fast growing economies around the world. He highlighted the fact that the Single Market has not delivered what was promised and pointed out that from 1992 to 2011, there were 27 non-EU countries whose exports of goods to the rest of the EU grew faster than the UK’s.

He also reflected concerns about the undemocratic behaviour of the EU, stating: ‘We cannot change the EU’s direction. We cannot change the pace. We cannot interrupt the steady erosion of democracy”. Click here to read the full text of Boris's speech. www.voteleavetakecontrol.org... oteleave

The In campaign wants us to stay in an EU that is unreformed and going in the wrong direction. Staying in the EU means handing over more money and more control to Brussels. It means even greater pressure on our public services through increased migration. That is why it is the safer choice to Vote Leave on 23 June.

Vote Leave to improve national security

This weekend, Michael Gove highlighted www.voteleavetakecontrol.org... _medium=email&utm_source=voteleave the dangers of the European Courts having a say over our intelligence services and its ability to rule on what data we can share with our allies like the US and Australia. He pointed out that Britain’s intelligence network with the Five Eyes Alliance (USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand) is the cornerstone of the fight against the global terror threat, not the proposed new structures the EU wants to create, which would undermine these valuable and established alliances.

David Cameron delivered a speech today and made the ludicrous claim that leaving the EU and taking back control would somehow lead to war. This smacks of desperation from a campaign failing to make the case for the EU and our continued payment of £350 million to Brussels every week. The PM’s words are deeply ironic given the EU’s own border agency says the EU’s borderless policy is making the whole of Europe less safe.

If we Vote Leave on 23 June, we will be able to act quickly to protect our national security. We would be able to make our intelligence agencies and the Armed Forces exempt from EU law, free us to deport unworthy EU citizens and put an end to the multibillion tax refunds to big business, the savings from which could be spent on our public services.

UK schools under pressure from rise in migration

Migration is putting increased pressure on all our public services including schools which are struggling to cope with the influx of thousands of children from the EU. John Pullinger the government statistics chief admitted that one in every 15 schoolchildren born in Britain is of migrant parents. This amounts to nearly 700,000 children who have a parent who is a citizen of another European country, which is twice the total of 2007. In order to accommodate this massive influx, we need to build 27 new secondary schools or 100 primaries.

There are a further five countries including Turkey, with a combined population of over 80 million currently applying to join the EU. Our public services are already under huge strain. After we Vote Leave on 23 June, we can take back control and spend the £350 million we send to Brussels every week, on our priorities such as education.

important to David Cameron to win this referendum than being PM!

I wonder what has been promised to him to *deliver them the UK*

Reading the following was quite chilling and there in the back of

my mind was screaming *1984*.

Its from an article in the Telegraph written by Col. Richard Kemp former

Commander of British Forces in Afghanistan.

A vote to remain would embolden Brussels into the goal of ever closer union this
will include an European army, enshrined in the *EU Project* through the Maastricht
and Lisbon treaties.

A German defence white paper leaked last week and which was supposed to
be kept under wraps until after the referendum leaves no doubt of Germany's
intention to drive through the merger of Europe's armed forces and embark on
permanent co-operation under common structures.

A centralised army is an indispensable component of the super state to which
the EU is openly committed.

Those who argue that the UK could veto an EU army, or that the UK would simply not
participate are naïve and disingenuous.

It is increasingly clear that the leaders of the main parties believe staying within the
EU is the only way for the UK to prosper.
IF the benefits of economic, political and legal union are so great, then it surely
must follow (to the *Remain in* party) that military union must have the same
advantages?

It will be denied that British forces will be handed over to the 'Brussels High
Command' but remember the British people were never told that the British
Parliament would be subordinated to a 'union' that today hands down over half our
LAWS, regulates our day to day activities and can over ride the highest courts of the UK

"Those that argue that the UK could veto an EU army"

WHEN HAS THE UK EVER HAD A SAY IN ANYTHING .... Just look at the pathetic

consessions David Cameron came away with, AND they can be over ridden by
the EU.

"It is increasingly clear that the leaders of the main parties believe staying
within the EU is the only way for the UK to prosper"

More from Vote Leave:

We send £350 million a week to the EU – enough to build a new hospital every week

250,000 EU migrants a year come to the UK and five new countries are in the queue to join – including Albania, Serbia, and Turkey – it’s out of control and damages the NHS

It’s safer to take back control and spend our money on our priorities

Imagine if we Vote Leave on 23 June...

IDS: Failure of renegotiation and social injustice of EU

Iain Duncan Smith has revealed how Germany had a ‘de facto veto’ during the Prime Minister’s renegotiation, preventing Mr Cameron from getting his proposed emergency brake on migrants. Mr Duncan Smith told the Sun www.thesun.co.uk... .html that pressure from Angela Merkel forced the Prime Minister to drop his plans just 24 hours before he was due to announce them. The former Work & Pensions Secretary admitted: ‘The reform failed. We got nothing on border control at all’.

In a major speech today, Mr Duncan Smith discussed how he believes that the EU has become a force for social injustice, benefiting the ‘haves’ and letting down the ‘have nots’. He argued that the euro has greatly favoured wealthy Germans and its export industries, but that this has been achieved at the expense of southern Europe, where the euro has brought catastrophic unemployment for millions of Greeks, Portuguese, Spaniards and Italians.

Mr Duncan Smith stated that uncontrolled migration from the EU has made it more difficult for young people to get on the housing ladder, led to crowded classrooms and an overburdened health service. He also warned that the downward pressure on wages is a trend that will get worse, especially with Turkey, Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro and Albania - with a combined population in excess of 80 million - set to join the EU. You can read his full speech here. www.voteleavetakecontrol.org...

After we Vote Leave on 23 June, we can take back control of our borders and ensure we don’t have to answer to EU politicians to enact our own policies. We can ease the pressure on our public services, and as the leader of the IN campaign admitted earlier this year, wages will rise. That’s why it’s the safer choice to Vote Leave.
www.telegraph.co.uk... .html

Business opinion moving against the EU

The IN campaign would like you to believe that the majority of businesses want to stay in the EU.

However, the reality is that business is split on the issue. Indeed, a survey by the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) www.voteleavetakecontrol.org... shows that business are rejecting the remain camp's main tactic of talking down Britain and its dynamic economy. Despite claims by the pro-EU camp to the contrary, business is not fearful of the referendum or the result.

The survey shows that a majority of those businesses which represent the vast bulk of our economy - those who do business in the UK and those that export outside of the EU- want to leave the European Union.’ Over 50% of BCC members consider that leaving the EU would have a positive impact on their overall growth strategy, whilst 36% said leaving the EU would have no impact at all.

The BCC survey also contradicts the Chancellor’s campaign in which he claims that ‘the threat of leaving the EU is weighing on our economy, investments and building are being delayed’. The survey instead states that the referendum is having no effect on the real economy or giving rise to uncertainty.

Business is not fearful of the referendum or the result. UK plc will prosper after we take back control of our economy and Vote Leave on 23 June.

Vote Leave bus hits the road today:

Today marks the launch of the Vote Leave bus tour, with Boris Johnson and Vote leave chair Gisela Stuart kicking things off in Truro. With only 43 days left to go until the referendum, we will be taking our case to the whole country, spreading our positive vision of life outside the EU.

As the bus travels around the country, Cabinet ministers will be joined by people from all walks of life, from doctors and teachers to business people, and of course thousands of volunteers and supporters along the route. People right across the UK want to take back control of the £350 million we give to Brussels every week and instead spend that money on our priorities, like the NHS.

Head of Labour In campaign dismisses £350 million as a ‘drop in the ocean’

At the launch of Labour In for Britain's battle bus tour, Alan Johnson claimed www.thesun.co.uk... -extremists.html that the £350 million we send to the EU each week would be a ‘drop in the ocean’ for the NHS. This is a shocking admission. The fact is that the NHS is in crisis and desperately needs more money. Patients struggling to get care on the NHS will rightly think that Mr Johnson is completely out of touch to dismiss a sum of money which could build a fully staffed hospital every week.

The Labour IN chief then went on to say that people who want to Vote Leave are ‘extremists’. However, it is hard to see what is ‘extremist’ about wanting to take back control of the £350 million we send to the EU every week. This is yet another example of the ridiculous claims made by the IN campaign, as they are unable to make a positive argument for staying in the EU.

EU judges make it difficult to extradite dangerous criminals and terrorists

The European Court of Justice yesterday took steps to take control of the UK’s extradition cases. www.dailymail.co.uk... The European Court will use the Charter of Fundamental Rights - which the government originally said would have the same legal effect as The Beano in the UK - in order to decide if we can deport dangerous criminals.

This will make it easier for dangerous criminals and terrorists to remain in the UK. The ruling could have even prevented the extradition of Abu Hamza had the judgment been made at the time of his extradition case.

These rules should be made by elected lawmakers accountable to the British people - not faceless bureaucrats in Brussels or unaccountable judges in Luxembourg. After we Vote Leave on 23 June, we can take back control of these key decisions and make our country more secure.

No he didn't and trust me I am no Cameron apologist, in fact I'm a Corbyn supporter except I live in Scotland ! What I hate is lies and distortions which is what the "scaremongering world war" statement is. It is made by the Brexiters to make Cameron and thus, by implication, the remainers sound desperate. Cameron actually said the following :

"Can we be so sure peace and stability on our continent are assured?"

This is entirely accurate given the historical reasons for EU in the first place. It may well be much less relevant in the 21st century given the level of well established trade, travel and communication but nonetheless when countries go it alone they tend to become insular and nationalistic....even today.

He followed up the above with:

"No, I don't believe that leaving the EU would cause World War Three to break out on the European continent."

Can't be any clearer than that can it?

A few more distortions to fix:

£350m to EU every week or 0.6% of national income or £252 per head per year

This is the gross amount and does not take account of rebates, support, funds etc flowing in the opposite direction. Once you do this it comes out as :

£83m to EU every week or 0.14% of national income or £60 per head per year.

Yes absolutely as one of the richer countries in the EU we pay more. It would be very odd indeed if smaller countries like Belgium were subsidisng larger countries like ourself wouldn't it ? In comparison Amazon alone "avoids" capital gains tax by more than that. But hey ho let's ignore the much much larger volume of money in lost taxes from within our own shores under our own control EVEN NOW before we leave.

Point to note, those smaller poorer countries get richer and buy more "stuff" over time as a consequence of EU support and thus we end up selling them more goods. Exactly what the relationship is between the £83m per week and the increase in trade is I can't say....but it is NOT zero.

I see you have added links to various newspaper articles 2 telegraph, 3 daily mail, 1 the sun. Please come on. If you brexiters want to make a point stop quoting these unbelievably biased rags ! Have you no pride!
