No surprises there Jane. Any Brexit impacts have practically been nullified by the pandemic impacts. Long term is better for the UK. My view for what it is worth.

The transition period ends at the end of December.
Before then, in July, there is a decision point to extend the transition period further, which is not likely.
By the end of December if no deal has been struck then we have no trade deal with the EU and will be on WTO terms.
The EU are trying to use a trade deal to effectively continue to control our country from Brussels - even more so than when we were in the EU.
But we know and they know that the UK holds all the cards. In trade we buy more from the EU than all other 27 countries combined buy from the UK.... i.e. we've been used as a cash cow and stripped of assets and sovereignty for years.
Once we finally give the bird to the EU for good, we'll be free to enter into a trade deal with the US and other countries worldwide without the useless pile of horse manure that is the EU.

Succinctly put! Goodbye EU and goodbye to parasitic exploitation of the UK and its resources.

That's for sure and they know a no deal hurts them more than it does the UK in many ways.
