Good. They way these traitorous scum acted, their noses SHOULD be rubbed in it and we should not forget what they did.

a reply to: angelchemuel Trade deal now is going to be turbulent because the EU are expecting a level playing field with some powers over us. Could get stroppy. Hope we don't sell out of fisheries etc etc.

Now how does that work?

A level playing field ...... and power over?

Two separate ends of a spectrum?

Typical EU view of fairness

Just keep a tight ho;d of our advantages Boris or you'll be toast!

What the EU means by a level playing field is actually a biased playing field towards them, stifling British innovation and trade so that they can compete.

It's akin to saying to two football teams - we can't have any winners here... we have to make sure the best team doesn't have an advantage.

Happy Brexit Day 31st January 2020 - A day to remember

Already have a glass in my hand. A brighter future for the UK and the beginning of the end for the failed protectionist system EU project!

I voted BREXIT as did my other half - by the way she is not British

The changes because of BREXIT will negatively impact us but it was the right thing to do for the UK and its future and our kids and their kids!

Now lets follow how the trade deal talks progress and boy its going to get bitchy. I am in favour of the Canadian model.

A toast to democracy and the awakening of the sleeping lion and to all who had the courage to go for it! Fortune favours the brave!!

Cheers

Like I have said all along, the longer term is where the benefits lay. Change is always feared but when managed and embraced it rarely results in a poor outcome.

What do you expect from the bitter French who deep down despise us?

I'm sure when it gets down to the nitty gritty the Germans will be far more pragmatic.
