Brexit will blow £59bn hole in public finances, admits Hammond.

That is a forecast from the OBR.
Here's a snippet from that article...

In total, the OBR said it expected the chancellor to have to borrow an extra £122bn over the next five years — with almost half of that, £59bn, attributable to the impact of Brexit.

then it goes on to say...

The OBR said it had been forced to base its forecasts on “broad-brush judgments” about the likely path of Brexit, because of the lack of clarity from the government. It asked for, “a formal statement of government policy as regards its desired trade regime and system of migration control”

This bugs me because they never take into account the positives of Brexit, like the possibility of trade agreements with other countries around the world, our small/medium businesses being relieved from the burden of all those regulations and also getting back control of our coastal waters!! Instead they only look at the potential negative consequences.
This is because they are not interested regardless of the fact that long term the UK is safer and better off outside the failing EU that will go tits up more than it has already. They have no respect for the UK people or their democratic decision. The disrespect shown to the people says it all!

There was a blonde lady (can't recall her name) on sky news this morning and she said "many people work up the morning after the election and realised what they had done" as much to say they realised they had made a mistake. Absolute f..king rubbish. And the guy sat next her told her so.

Looking further into the OBR forecast, the OBR themselves are admitting it only has a 50% chance of being correct!!!

This whole things is laughable and is only given airways to keep indoctrinating people into thinking Brexit is bad.

Yes its ridiculous BS!

I saw someone say on the news that it could take 5 years. Its all rubbish. It won't be long before the protests which have started grow. Anyone who is now speaking or working against BREXIT is a traitor to the country and its peoples democratic rights which their ancestors fought and died for! Its shameful and proof that the majority of politicians dont give a sh-t about democracy or the peoples interests!

That would pretty much be in line with EU regulations, where people must either have a job or show that they are able to sustain themselves in other ways within 3 months.

As a Briton, try moving to Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France or anywhere else within the EU without having sufficient cashflow (e.g. pension or investments) or a job and enjoy the ride back to the UK - which you'll have to pay for.

The UK is the only EU country does not enforce this, instead preferring to blame the EU.

But leaving the EU is not necessary for this. We, as any other EU member state, already have this right. If we only cared to actually use it.

I suppose that is far more convenient.

Interesting to note that many countries are now tired of the immigration problem and it appears that potential political instability in Italy may bring about a EU Referendum on IEXIT in the next few years. Not to mention issues in Austria and France if La Penn gets elected.

Labour can't be trusted here. Blair did not bother to consult us before he took us 'in'. Now he is shouting his mouth off from the sidelines, pushing his middle ground views. Corbyn is wrong on Europe/Brexit and politicians are showing just how little faith they have both the electorate and democracy.

Labour party is detached from the people and the electorate are at odds with the Labour party's position on the EU.
