Nicely sums up the feeling in the UK, despite what the MSM would have you believe.

Looks like there is a full on media effort to discredit Leadsom in favour of May getting leader job.

Doesn't bode well for Brexit. She will not take UK out of EU. Instead she will find any number of excuses and foot dragging to make it not happen.

Don't think you are right. May is already talking about the exit plan.

We will BREXIT dont worry. Wheels are already in motion. And the PM votes not happened yet. Although I guess the IN crowd will fix it. But who knows. TM won't be there long even if she gets the job. It will be the Borisinator who takes the Tories in the next GE!

The Borisnator is it? What do you mean by that? Do you really think BJ has a chance of becoming PM?

Not surprised - there will be more and more of this and the change of PM will trigger some new investigations and reports which could take years.

So they will tempt fate by testing patience of the UK voter! It is moments like this that democratic peoples get to test the integrity of a nation states claim to democracy and that of those who claim to act on behalf of the nation and its peoples will.

If the BREXIT vote is or was in anyway dishonored then democracy would be destroyed in the UK and we would all suffer what the consequences turned out to be!

Is it just typical that those that have and do little to protect or defend those that haven't talk about law which is for the few and not the many!! Double standards. The only law that matters here is the fact that 52% voted OUT! That is the peoples law in a democratic state.

Very true - it was always thus. Democracy is but an illusion to keep masses fooled. It's like a steering wheel not attached to the wheels... we happily steer away all day by voting, but the direction of travel never changes.

Andrea Leadsom 'to pull out of Tory leadership election' making May PM

www.msn.com...

So we end up with a REMAIN PM or do we? Will the party demand a vote thus another? Would it be Borisinator or will he wait until TM has hung herself!!

I have always believed, since the Labour party started doing it in the 80's, that expanding the election to the wider party was a mistake.
The fundamental principle of the British constitution is that the P.M. rests on the support of the Commons.
Once Boris dropped out, I looked on this contest without a preference, but I think the fact that Theresa May has the backing of the M.P.'s should be allowed to be decisive.

Leadsom pulls out. I don't there are enough emoticons to express how utterly unsuprising this is. Any idiot could see this unfolding from the back end of last week (although I suspected Gove to be head to head with May and then withdraw, never saw Leadsom entering the field). There is no way that all the brexit promises could be upheld, not even slightly. So clearly you cannot have anyone associated with Brexit anywhere in government when the decisions are made about how to unplug the UK from the EU. Suprise suprise they have all left, resigned etc. Are you that naive you cannot work out why they have all got of the limelight!!!!!. We now have a remainer who will ensure the UK is a member of the EEA along the lines of Norway. Very little EU law will be rescinded for one simple reason the vast vast majority are related to trade and being a member of the EEA all trade law has to be implemented. Even China has to implement EU trade law DUH!

Needless to say the Brexiter public will bitch and complain and will call for Theresa May's head. But there will be no need since she will resign after all the deals are done and site ill health as a problem. She is a diabetic and so the excuse for her to stand aside is already in place.

Surely you didn't think having someone with an existing health condition was a coincidence do you?

Now who to follow Theresa May in a couple of years time? We shall find out when the new cabinet is in place keep your eye on the Chancellor or Home secretary.

As for the Labour party well the establishment is having a problem there. They got Blair in to convert the peoples protest party into a light version of the Tories. He changed some rules to ensure the incumbent leader could not be easily removed.......OOPS!!! I mean come on Angela Eagle is no leader she has less charismatic appeal than Gove, she is a fall guy to lose to Corbyn so they can try an unseat Corbyn another way...watch this space. The light blue party has to be led by someone that the knitting club of hampshire would vote for. The establishment are terrified of Corbyn and McDonnell, especially the tax evading establishment.

Totally gutted hearing Andrea Leadsom has pulled out.
As I have said before, I really could have voted for her at the next general election.
I think the Conservatives will lose votes due to this.

It's so clear the establishment again has tried to discredit her at any opportunity, just like with Farage and Corbyn.

I guess I will stick with UKIP.

She is only a filler for the next PM who will take her post for the next GE and I believe that will be BJ and it wont be long before TM is giving him one also.

BJ cleverly backed off because he knew that it would go this way!

I can't see Boris Johnson being Prime minister ever, to be honest.
He is too much of a buffoon.

I don't think many will want him representing our people and our nation.
