The Lord's Prayer secretly holds Jesus's basic teachings

Matthew 6:9-13 King James Version (KJV)

9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Jesus is not the only son of God, God is OUR Father, too.

"Thy Kingdom come, thy Will be done"
God wants the Earth to be a reflection of The Peace of Heaven, not a world of suffering, so we should not wish for the suffering (or ending) of the world, but for it to be filled with The Light and Glory of Heavenly Peace.


"Forgive us our tresspasses as we forgive those who tresspass against us"

Give and it is given into you. Forgive and be forgiven. Sowing and Reaping. Karma .

It's amazing how Jesus's basic teachings are all nicely put within this short prayer.

Good post.

Its also as Ive noticed the same format used to approach god with every prayer.

He instructed us in Matthew 6:7 not to use vain repetitions by repeating it verbatim.

So we can use this format to properly and respectfully approach God and ask for our needs after acknowledging his divine presence and kingship over all creation. End it with a petition to bless everyone most of all.

The thing is, it's not really secret is it?

The words kinda give the game away, and most people of a certain age know this prayer.

The Lord's prayer is full of wisdom.

Let HIS will be done on earth as in heaven - God's will ...... we should be begging for it! Not our will but HIS. If God's will is done on earth everyone on this planet would not be lacking anything including health etc... HEAVEN ON EARTH!

Give us our daily bread......ask and you shall receive.

Our sins will be forgiven as we ask God to forgive the sins of those who have mistreated us. So many mentions throughout the bible about forgiving our enemies..... KEY TEACHING HERE. Failure to forgive EVERYONE.... leave just one person out and your sins will NOT be forgiven... very hard to do but when we ask God this way .....he touches our heart so we can let go and finally forgive......(TIP) The torment and nightmares of this person(s) stops and you find peace with this issue that has been eating you up.

Temptation is where sin came into the world. Our flesh is weak and we can be easily tempted maybe it is alcohol for that person and fornication for the other. It is different for us all. Whoever claims he is not tempted is a liar! This is where we most fail.....through temptation as Eve did......Fight back and it will leave ... no worries it will come back.. it is war! YOUR WHOLE LIFE......

Deliver us from evil......say these words and you have protection! Its that easy. A wall surrounds you which evil spirits can not penetrate. It can do much more depending on your relationship with the Father.

Give Praise and thanks to God and he will look upon you.......you now have his attention.......

And how often we all,sleep and wake in cycles. Just like the nature of what is.

It is all there but like most things we learn to say it without contemplating it

I believe the Lords Prayer was one of the reasons Christ went to the cross

Imagine teaching that God was our Father, that would have angered the religious people of the day.

We are also told where heaven is, its with God

We are also told in the prayer Calvinism is a lie, "Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven". Says clearly to me Gods will is not done on earth?

Well, we're more like a clone of God with amnesia. Even that's not really adequate. We are OF "God". We're a part of "it" just as much as "it" is a part of us. We've had our memory wiped as to where we started (unified with that is-ness) in order so that we can experience ourselves in infinite ways.

Being a singular, omnipotent being is lonely and boring. Creating infinite variations of experience through avatars like ourselves for eternity keeps this...."is-ness" that just is satisfied.

But not every experience brings Joy. In fact, the purpose of learning is to become more wise so that the experiences of suffering created by confusion and darkness can be avoided for experiences of Love, Joy, and Peace brought by the light and wisdom of Life/Love.

Love is the only purposeful meaning.

It's a great example of a prayer and the way we ought to live our lives.

I think it is much more important to live our lives this way than it is merely to recite the words.

Of course not every experience bring joy. How would joy exist without sorrow and pain? How would love exist without hate? If there was only one emotion, eventually different intensities of that emotion would separate into a spectrum. More intense love, less intense love, hardly detectable love...

Everything has to be experienced. From a starving child to the birth of a star.

That's exactly what happened.

Everything is energy but not everything is of the higher frequency (more Heavenly/more Love/more Bright). There is a lower frequency of energy, too (less Heavenly, less bright, less Love).

Beings are able to fall from grace or ascend to Heaven. No one has to stay trapped in the lower frequency (state of being) with less Light, Joy, and Love.

But yes, all energy is just higher or lower frequencies of The Wisdom/Awareness(Light) of Love (Connectivity/Compassion).

The starving child is not a necessary experience, understanding compassion/empathy/connectivity will alleviate the suffering of that starving child.
