Iran receives S-300 PMU2 and signs a deal for Su-30SM fighters

Looks like the arms sale is going to be brought up at the UN. As stated earlier the UN nuke agreement requires certain categories of items going to iran to be approved by the parties involved. The arms embargo in certain categories has a 5 year wait built into the agreement.

The tanks and air craft are 2 of those categories.

the F-117 has a RCS of 0.001 m2 . F-22 has the same RCS from its sides and 0.0001 m2 from front . so basically what you said is very nice looking , but false .

Teh F-117 was flying OUT OF ITS MISSION PROFILE AND THE SAME FLIGHTPATH. When they flew at nightand a different flightpath the SAMs coudnt hit them for #. Nice try to sell that load of horsecrap.

Need i remind you that shooting down an aircraft needs realtime coordinates of the target? Flying down the same path is helpful indeed but not determining at all

NO im not actually. This stuff is well known by military people,and as good as th eS-400s are they arent invincible. the f-22 and f-35 are vulnerable as well if they go outside their mission profiles like the f-117 did.
(to the other poster yes they CAN see the SAM sites)

ALso dont the buk was likely set for proximity and the commander had a laser range finding device to set its height. then fire into its flightpath. The aircraft literally flew the same path and alt for a few days enough so that the comander guessed right.

The S400 controllsystem can Direct other A-A systems it doesnt have to be a S400 missile system. It can also allow other guidance radars to guide the S400 missile to its target, if it gives the missile the best solution.

The odds for a F-22 or F-35 to know if it is a S-400 system tracking it or something else is slim. It could be multiple system tracking them at once.

This is one of the major aspects that make the S400 so deadly combined With its range. The S400 missile could be fired 250mils away from where the F-22 thinks the S-400 system is located.

Here the problem though. They are very hot when launched and if the stealths were in the area you can bet the satelites will be watching for launches and alert them.

Remember the S_400 has to be guided to its target and most of those other radars cant track the f-22 within a certain range. Stealth still creates gaps in that system and they fly in those gaps. Active ECM environmaent they have to get close to be detected, by then the F-22 has dropped its ordinance outside detection range.

That Depends on the distance and what kind of missile that is chosen to hit the F-22. The S400 is equiped With a variety of missiles. From 1, 2 or 4 in one tube. It might be upgraded With the New S350?

IF there is a different system within range the S400 radar can guide a different missile on the target, the S-400 systen dont have to use its own missiles. It can use HPM Ranets E. (The weapon has been described as a "radio-frequency cannon"). The Pansir S/S1 seris, Tunguska M series, Tor M1/M2, and even older systems like the SA-5 gammon. Even if they can not spot the F-22 With its radar. But they probably would sinse they have capable radars and optics to spot Stealth.

What the Russians have is unmatched on the market. The F-22 dont even have a capable weapon to hit the S-400. The F-22 carry weapons but the odds of them hitting the S400 is slim to non.

The F-22 was designes to cope With the earlier models of the S300P/V. But i dont think the F-22 is even capable of attacking the S300PMU2 Favorit.

RUssian TEchnology unbeatable and stronker than anything in other words right? F-22 can and does detect them no matter the radar used. they been testing them all this time. point is the SAMs are vulnerable to BVR attack by the stealth fighters and turn around before getting within the Active ECM zone or basket needed by the SAM to accurately engage and have a chance to hit.70 km is the range of its dedicated radar. Yeha it can talk to other units but it has to use its personal radar for guidance at times.

So when America and other Western Countries send cluster bombs to Saudi Arabia and in which they use that to bomb agaisnt Innocent Civilians isn't that breaking violating UN sanctions and committing war crimes?

On another interesting news ,Russia will sign a contract with Iran by which they will Co-produce their 4++ gen fighter named Su-30SM on Iranian territory

Maybe that bit bolded gets around any embargoes

Are th e saudis under a arms embargo? If they were it would be wrong of course,but they arent so its not.

Russia is reported to have started delivering S-300 surface-to-air missiles to Iran, under a deal opposed by Israel, the US and Saudi Arabia. Iran's foreign ministry spokesman Hossein Jaberi-Ansari said "the first stage of the contract has been implemented". It is not yet clear how many missiles may have been delivered.

Its interesting that Russia opposes the Patriot Missile or THAAD defence in Europe and China the same in SK and yet Russia allows Iran to buy and deploy S-300.

I know that it is par for the course.

The thing I thought about this, what is Israels stealth project to counter this or could EW defeat it and what could Israel be deveoping?
