Being a transsexual is not wrong, I'm sure you and I both know that, but remember, Christians are very conservative so this is shocking to them.

And I think that's what the OP's message is.
1. A church is doing something that he thinks is sinful, backed up by his interpretation of scripture.
2. He's offended, and doesn't think the church should be doing it.
3. He thinks Christians should boycott this particular church because of what they've done.

Basically, it's his opinion about this story. I don't have a problem with him expressing his opinion. I don't agree with it, but it's really just how he feels. My feelings are that I'm glad some religious people treat LGBT people as Jesus would have treated them - with an open heart and love IN SPITE OF their "sins".

There are churches who marry gay people and some who have gay ministers. I suspect the OP feels the same way about them.

What other requirements are there? Because Paul says that all you need is faith and belief in Jesus' sacrifice to be saved.

Romans 10
9 If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Romans 3
28 For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.

No action required, only belief that Jesus is the Lord and was raised from the dead.

Satan does not believe in Jesus

Satan KNOWS Jesus exists because he tried to tempt Jesus, Satan doesn't need to believe because he has seen Jesus and spoken with Jesus

Also God created Lucifer as an Angel to dwell at his throne for all eternity and was supposedly perfect as Ezekiel states

You had the seal of perfection, Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. 13"You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The ruby, the topaz and the diamond; The beryl, the onyx and the jasper; The lapis lazuli, the turquoise and the emerald; And the gold, the workmanship of your settings and sockets, Was in you. If God created a perfect being in Lucifer why did he fall from grace and entertain pride and vanity ?

Either God failed to create something perfect, which then destroys the whole of concept of God as written by the bible OR Lucifer never existed which then brings into question what else is not true within the bible.

And finally if we let the whole failure at perfection idea slide, God is a psychopath for attempting to create a perfect Angel knowing full well that Lucifer would turn to pride and vanity as God is all knowing and transcends time

You made the statement, you are the OP, I was only going with the topic that was at hand. I'm not trolling, only pointing out that believing in Jesus IS all that is required according to certain parts of the bible. Paul states it emphatically: believing in Jesus' sacrifice apart from works is all that is required for salvation.

It's one of those areas where emotions and sensitivity runs hot.

I agree that sexuality and gender identity is an area where many Christians need to relax and loosen up a bit.

At the same time, we in the LGBT community could do a better job of gaining trust by not poking the bear to make it angry.

Mutual respect is the way forward.

Knowing means you no longer need belief

He has seen and spoken with Jesus therefore he knows of his existence, so belief of existence is not needed and is replaced by knowledge of existence.

One only believes when they do not KNOW, knowing replaces belief. Perhaps it's the wording that has confused you I'm just surprised I've had to explain the difference between knowing something and believing something.

According to the story, Satan didn't want to be equal to God (living through God and One with God), he wanted to be above God, but God is Love and Love never fails.

Jesus taught that we should love our neighbors as ourselves and love our enemies and that The Kingdom of God is within us. That is a teaching equality.

He became so arrogant that he began to desire the glory of God

God is generous and shares his Glory/Light:

"And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one"

Satan (according to the story), did not want Equality but superiority .

See, it's open to interpretation

13 You said in your heart, 'I will ascend to heaven; above the stars of God I will set my throne on high; I will sit on the mount of assembly in the far reaches of the north; 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.'

Yes it does say "above the stars of God" but it also says "I will make myself like the most high"

To me "the most high" is reference to God so "I will make myself like" means he will be like God as in equal to God, however I can see your point of view also
