Bernie needs the youth of America to work ... and work hard. Can't do that stoned.

I enjoy telling that to kids and watching it sink in.

I work forty-five hours a week, run two miles three times a week, and what I do in my free time is none of anyone's concern.

Oh yeah, I also went to college for an extended period of time and have this worthless piece of paper.

Work smarter, not harder.

Yeah well there's more TRUTH in those memes than Sanders entire platform.

Agreed with work smarter not harder. I have numerous degrees that I thought made me smart. I truly got smart when I realized all those pieces of paper just made me a robot.

Breaking out of the tiny box they put us in is very liberating and also allows life to be enjoyed much more.

More and more people are breaking out of the box and it's scaring the crap out of the elites who created the box

The reason why so many 'young voters' flock to Bernie, is because of a few reasons.

The Pre Frontal cortex in adults doesn't mature until 25 years of age. That means on average, an 18 year old who can VOTE and buy cigarettes, has limited maturity physically. And the Pre Frontal cortex effects decision making, emotional reaction to stimulus, planning, seeing the bigger picture.

Why do many people start to lean Conservative or Moderate the older they get? Where they start to THINK outside of emotion?

You realize, a large percentage of the voter base in our country is people who are still developing in their BRAINS.

Secondly, our public school systems which are the large majority of K-12 schooling have the lock on culture and belief. We have greater POOR youth, so they attend public Colleges/Universities. They're indoctrinated by an intense "Academia" which is unarguably "Liberal".

Liberal Elites control the INDUSTRY of "Education"...from the Sciences to the Arts to Legal to Medical....possibly even BUSINESS now.

So ideas that have failed like Socialism/Marxism/State Power/Centralism/ Globalism....your basic COMMUNAL and STATE answers, are completely acceptable to them.

"Young People" should not be the litmus test for what is good policy.

We were all young once, and yes, most of us were stupid and react to emotions and rebellion. And Marxist ideologies Capitalize on that stupidity.

Except Bernie shows no signs of "rebellion". He's a rehash of very old ideas. He knows VERY well what he's doing. He knows the "YOUNG" are his target audience with minorities. But I'm not shocked at vampires who suck blood and call it 'helping'. It's the Globalist/Marxist way....isn't it?

I'll make sure to keep that in mind the next time I'm working on a research paper.

I'll make sure to start with, "Yo Sanders," because that clearly demonstrates a level of professionalism.

Socialists wanting a smaller government is an oxymoron.

You can't have government-mandated healthcare, and make it smaller.
You can't have government-paid for education, and make it smaller.

Illinois?

That's your example?

Isn't that the same state that stopped paying out lottery winnings because they were broke?

Yeah, a shining example of socialism.

The funny part is SOCIALISTS were the fascist 'right' wingers.

Last 15 years I have never heard a right winger call themselves a 'socialist'.

I have heard it nonstop from people like Sanders though.

In other words, you don't know what you're talking about. Nazis call themselves "National Socialists", as their websites show. I could even link to the prominent modern Neo-Nazi websites right now, but ATS rightfully has a ban on promoting hate sites. So instead of deflecting, why don't you do a quick 2minute search to see for yourself.

Also, are you going to ignore what else I said? Today's Pro-Hitler Neo-Nazis are right wing. FACT. And many other right wingers are Hitler sympathizers. FACT. So when you tried to compare Bernie to Hitler, what does that actually mean? That the extreme right wing should support Bernie too?

Funny how Sanders sounds an aweful lot like THIS FASCIST.

Way to make a guilty by association fallacy...
So because Bernie has similar policies in regards to socialism as Hitler once did, we should ignore Bernie's policies?

I'm not a Bernie supporter myself as I think his tax policies will be levied to extreme ends to pay for all the "free" stuff he's been promising his supporters about. The money's got to come from somewhere right?

Why not attack his actual policies instead of being disingenuous.

This whole argument can almost literally come down to the lack of development in the Pre-Frontal Cortex.

I'm not joking

That's why the plan is to not only vote in Sanders for POTUS but also vote and replace all of the corrupt members of the house and senate.

Replace them with... who?

That statement is hilariously ironic.

It sure was because apparently some didn't get the point.

Sanders supporters don't think for themselves.

They 'think' COLLECTIVELY.

Hows that ?

It's perfectly acceptable for that NEO NAZI Sanders hating on the rich.

It's their 'fault' for all the poor and middle class's problems!

So why on earth would you vote for the socialist who would give the government the power to put you in a box with bars on the windows, locks on the doors? You can never get out of that box.

Liberty is what allows you to get outside the box.

Look, I agree with a lot of what you say. I do feel though like you are making me out to be a supporter of Bernie's policies. This thread was not to argue about Bernie's policies and what I do or do not agree with about him.

It's not just young voters who like him for certain things he is trying to achieve, I know people in their 60's and 70's, all independent thinkers of course, who also support him ONLY because of his attempt to start fighting the $$$ and powers that corrupt American politics.

Simpy put, this can pave the way for future candidates who ARE NOT apart of the dems or the GOP to actually have a shot of getting into DC to make real changes.

The Republicans should be scared.

One good thing that this election is doing is pulling the veil back and exposing the fraud behind the curtain.

They might be able to rig the national election, but at the local level, your vote actually counts and makes a difference.

If younger people get more involved in choosing their senators and congressman, real change will happen and the idiots can be removed and replaced with a more progressive voice.

The GOP is scared, but for a different reason. Trump and Cruz are at the top of the pack, and their are not part of the GOP establishment.

Oddly enough, the anti-insider rhetoric of Sanders and Cruz has a lot of similarities. The difference is their solutions to the problems. While Sanders thinks that the solution to a corrupt government is more government, Cruz thinks the solution is less government.

The dirty secret is that Sanders is an insider in his own right. Why else would the Dems have let him run on their ticket?

No I am not ignoring the FACT that socialism and Capitalism are diametrically opposed.

And the only means of accomplishing socialism is by outright brute force of authoritarianism aka totalitarianism.

Anyone that thinks other wise really isn't paying attention.

I never mentioned I was voting for him, I won't vote until I'm convinced that the vote will actually matter.

What Bernie can accomplish is create a smart voter who can see thru the bullsh@t that we are swimming in from allowing ourselves to be controlled by a two party system.

If a person calls themselves an independent thinker and still thinks that voting in a socialist will end corruption and make government smaller, then please, never ever place me in the same category as them.
