Care to elaborate then on what you think separation of church and state means?

Also, yes, Bernie may very well be another puppet of TPTB. I have to ask though, what do you think their agenda is then? Bernie is clearly waking some people up to the corruption of politicians and banksters, kind of like Ron Paul was doing. One would think this goes against their agenda, no?

Perhaps to attempt to quell much of the growing political awareness and dissidence many Americans are currently feeling.

Zbigniew Brezenski's speech from Montreal in 2010, "for the first time in human history, mankind is politically awake."

I've found Bernie to be quite coincidental, yet I have my doubts as to if "he's a plant by the TPTB," if you will. I supported Dr. Ron Paul and likewise Rand Paul, as other "career politicians," that were true American patriots - in my opinion.

If Bernie truly is a puppet, I say good job, TPTB.

The only 'bull #" in this thread is Sanders platform.

And I actually do.

If you want something WORK for it instead of expecting the STATE to give it to you.

Just like every other American has done for over 200 years.

Oh look, another thread of screaming Bernie is the epitome of all things socialist and he is going to turn this country into a total socialist dystopia with the power of his all powerful socialist hand. His hidden agenda to rid the world of freedom, capitalism and puppies is so plain to see. Nothing else needs to be known, other than he is a socialist; whatever that means as it seems no one can agree what modern socialism means beyond the generic Webster's definition. His policies? I don't what they are but I am sure they are socialist and the epitome of evil. If only people didn't like free stuff we could be saved. Queue more memes.

We ignore them as the cartoon clowns they are,and realistically acknowledge their political strength and combat power,by chiding YOU for worrying about them.

Might be trying to give you a false sense of security

And as for my elaboration? Read Thomas Jefferson's letter to the Danbury Baptist association.

Not the purpose of this thread at all. There are at least 10 other threads where your response would have fit in just fine.

I would not put it past TPTB for a second that they are capable of giving us this current Bernie, but it just doesn't make much sense. All of his bills he's put through and all his calling out of wall st cartels etc etc etc. Still won't say for sure that he's not.

Dear god. It's nauseating seeing all the people here claiming Sanders supporters don't think for themselves. And then those same people go on to vomit out crap we are constantly inundated with from O'Reilly, hannity, fox, Facebook etc. Way to think for yourself.

I have a news tip about propaganda folks. If the news, media, schools etc vilify something constantly, (like, for instance......socialism maybe?) To the point where its used as a swear word, and no conversation can be held about it without people getting ugly and making hyperbole or ad hominem attacks..... That's not indication of an indoctrination to socialism guys! That's actually the opposite.

Its more likely that you are all indoctrinated AGAINST socialism, because indoctrination is done by tptb, moneyed interests, and they know that socialist policies are one of the few things that can actually threaten their power and profit.

Does that even make sense? You ignore them by acknowledging their political strength and combat power? Ignoring something and acknowledging something are opposites.

And what does "chiding" me for "worrying about them" have to do with anything we were saying? Someone compared Bernie to Hitler, so I reminded them that Hitler's actual modern day sympathizers are right wing. So was the comparison meant to be good or bad, since it came from a right winger? Your comment has nothing to do with that, unless you care to explain it in more detail.

I have looked at Kasich as a fallback, but with his positive debating style he keeps getting 'Trumped' in the media. He really seems to be the most moderate of the GOP.

Unfortunately Kasich is another Globalist Establishment Puppet

John Kasich: TPP Trade Deal ‘Critical’

MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin — GOP presidential candidate Ohio Gov. John Kasich came out in support of the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade agreement during the fourth GOP primary debate hosted by Fox Business, saying the deal is “critical.”

Here you are totally ignoring the facts of the state of the economy again with an out dated perspective.

We all know you did it Neo, your great. However those same opportunities only exist for smaller percentage of Americans and people worldwide.

Stop with the ultra right wing narrative already would you. There isn't enough opportunity anymore.

That was a great post.

People don't need to wait for an election to make a change.

Want to make government smaller? Stop relying on government.

Help people instead of waiting for some government agency to do it.

Yep, and your solution is to do nothing and allow the corruption to continue
Then in the next sentence you will say we are responsible for the government we have
So which is it?

Do people have a responsibility over the government we have or not?
Throwing out Crony Capitalist is not relying on the government.
That is all I want.
No free Handout wishes from me

I'll tell you exactly why so many people like Bernie Sanders. Because American culture has been riddled with socialist propaganda for many decades. It's literally everywhere you look and that's not even close to an exaggeration or paranoia. And American kids have grown up swimming in the stuff and not even knowing they were essentially being indoctrinated. And even before it was entirely obvious, they were there quietly doing their thing.

Sanders is popular because the American people did not take communist infiltration seriously. People who would have been outspoken about it allowed the mainstream socialists to bully them into silence with accusations of McCarthyism. Nevermind that McCarthy was actually right about almost everything.

Let's look at everyday examples of socialist institutions: Public zoos? Check. Public parks? Check. Public libraries? Check. Public Museums? Check. Highways? Roads? Bridges? Check, check, and check. Dams? Check. The police? Check. Fire department? Check. Public schools/public education? Check. Non-privatized healthcare (e.g. the VA)? Check. Medicaid/social security? Check. Town and state beaches/wildlife reserves? Check. Public transportation? Check. Street lights? Check. Sewer systems? Check. The military? Check.

You realize that socialism is pretty much mandatory in a first world country, right? Without it everything would be privatized; there would not be a government. The concept of "We the people" in and of itself is socialist ideology. Educate yourself.

I'm Lovin ATS so much these days. Every single day Bernie rises and the rhetoric from those who fear him gets more shrill.

OP I applaud your thread and understand why you made it. However arguing with several of these people is completely pointless. Unless you're doing it to goad them into raving about dirty commies. In which case: well played, and that's hilarious.

For myself Bernie is a dream come true. I fully intended to spend this entire election doing what I've always done. Quietly and not so quietly despairing while my fellow countrymen tear each other apart promoting the interests of two operatives who play for the same team. Trying to keep the pieces of my cranium together while my countrymen scream conservative! and liberal! At each other like ad hominems. As if this country had a left wing.

The most liberal member of the democratic party (hey! I guess that would technically be Bernie now) would not even fall on the leftist spectrum in the rest of the first world. And having spent most of my adult life in two of those social democracies (Canada and Finland) I can tell you we sorely need some more leftism here.

America needs to put up or shut up. "American Exceptionalism" "Greatest Country in the World" blah blah blah. That's big talk coming from a country that's 1st in self-confidence and 27th in Math. Currently the only metrics in which America leads is incarcerated citizens, BMI, and billionaires.

Then while I'm still in Finland a friend sends me a video link with the following message: "This is it." and I was thus introduced to Bernie. I'm the most jaded and cynical person I know and I am 100% convinced of his integrity (and let me tell ya, I tried hard to find evidence to the contrary. ) Having seen first hand how social democracy works I am convinced he is what we need desperately.

There are quite a few people on this site and in America who view the poor and working class as vermin, or cattle. Who honestly believe that the amount of 1's and 0's in someone's bank account is a good indication of character. Thankfully there are a lot more of us than there are of them. And every single day more and more people learn about Bernie, and line up behind him.

Keep on keepin' on OP! There is no hope for many of the entrenched here on ATS but there are lots of lurkers you may be swaying!

And there's a magic wand...that Dumbledore Sanders has, which grows MONEY! To pay for alllllll that STUFF!!

Have you seen his wand?? I heard it's made of Dragon's Hair and Unicorn Hoof!!

What's your solution to the continuation of technology replacing the need for a human workforce?

Just let everyone starve and die?

Then why produce so much?
