Good afternoon ATSers

I've been reading a lot of post about confusion over why so many American's like Bernie. Really I don't understand why this is so hard to understand. It's as easy as taking a look at every other candidate, whether Dem or GOP. EVERY single POTUS candidate is a lying, oxygen stealing, bought and paid for puppet; people are getting sick of it.

The shift in awareness has begun, and IMO younger Americans are no longer buying into the BS and are demanding change. Let's be clear, I'm not saying Bernie is the end all be all for positive change; really at this point it doesn't matter. He has ZERO chance of winning anyway because the super delegate nonsense that rules our voting system ensures that grass roots candidates don't stand a chance. This is a whole other issue in itself. The fact of the matter is that for his supporters, it feels like a breath of fresh air to see a POTUS candidate call out corruption.

Today's politicians and elites take Americans for idiots. They blatantly lie and take money from corporations such as big agro and big pharma, then pretend that no one notices. They are bought and paid for my interests that have the $$$ to create policy in this country, when in all reality the people of America and their interests are what should be creating policy. This has been ignored in this country for wayyyyyy too long and people are just now finally getting sick and tired of it. Why has it taken so long? IMO, awareness and mindfulness is growing and spreading, and it's about time. The baby boomers, not all but for the most part, have ZERO independent thought and believe anything that is told to them. Fear is what controls them and that won't change. The younger generations are asking more questions and won't take BS answers seriously anymore. This should be considered a good thing, since America is being taken down slowly by elites who think they should be the ones controlling us.

If by some crazy chance Bernie does win POTUS, NOTHING will chance because our brain dead, archaic congress and senate will fight him every step of the way on any policies he tries to implement. This would be a great thing as well because all they would be doing is getting these new voters out to the polls in greater numbers to vote not just for POTUS but to boot them out of DC as well.

This thread is not about supporting Bernie or socialism or any of his views; it's about acknowledging that a change is finally occurring after being LONG overdue. Hillary and all the GOP candidates are puppets and don't give two sh@ts about the American people, all they care about is playing their game and making their $$ and power. Fear is what fuels denial, which most people still live in about this topic. It's scary for one's belief system to come crashing down and the ego does it's best job protecting people from dealing with it. Oh well, too late.

I'll tell you exactly why so many people like Bernie Sanders. Because American culture has been riddled with socialist propaganda for many decades. It's literally everywhere you look and that's not even close to an exaggeration or paranoia. And American kids have grown up swimming in the stuff and not even knowing they were essentially being indoctrinated. And even before it was entirely obvious, they were there quietly doing their thing.

Sanders is popular because the American people did not take communist infiltration seriously. People who would have been outspoken about it allowed the mainstream socialists to bully them into silence with accusations of McCarthyism. Nevermind that McCarthy was actually right about almost everything.

I see that you completely ignored the heart of the OP, which was people having enough of corrupt, puppet politicians who are bought and paid for by interests with a lot of $$$ and an agenda.

Most Americans are quite ignorant and don't even understand the true meaning of Socialism; these are the ones who get their news from CNN and FOX lol.

That's why the plan is to not only vote in Sanders for POTUS but also vote and replace all of the corrupt members of the house and senate.

Hopefully the Sanders campaign will provide a voting guide so we are sure to catch and destroy every last one of these mofos.

What exactly does Bernie Sanders have to do with communist infiltration?

And Sanders is NO different.

You can take that FACT to any fiat currency bank.

Which Sanders party created by the way.

So I have to ask myself.

Since the State has the power to create money out of thin air anytime it wishes.

Why does he vilify the rich so much.

Answer?

Because he is taking the American public for idiots.

YES!! This is the shift that has started!

The people who are scared the most by this are Republicans, but what most Republicans don't realize is that it's not 1950 anymore and MOST Americans under the age of 45 don't care about fake religions anymore and want a separation of church and state. They also want representatives who can give a big middle finger to people trying to buy them.

Nope. I just completely disagree with it. Sanders is nothing new and he wouldn't be there if he was. There simply isn't anything else but socialism behind all of this nonsense. If they have any real enemies left in the power structure, they are few and far in between.

You may be correct, but also doesn't matter in regards to the shift in perception of Americans and who they want leading them.

I think they like him because he's not part of a dynasty.
A dynasty that has left us with sour tastes in our mouths.
He may not be the devil we know but we have already seen
what the one's we do know are capable of.

The Republicans should be scared.

One good thing that this election is doing is pulling the veil back and exposing the fraud behind the curtain.

They might be able to rig the national election, but at the local level, your vote actually counts and makes a difference.

If younger people get more involved in choosing their senators and congressman, real change will happen and the idiots can be removed and replaced with a more progressive voice.

Is THAT the plan? Somebody better tell the voters PDQ because they haven't got the memo. Even though the public approval rating of Congress is something like 17% (last I looked) the sad fact of the matter is that when it comes to YOUR representative, people normally vote them back in anyway. It's those OTHER Congressman who are at fault.

I've got one of the DUMBEST Senators on record, Patty Murray. She has no qualifications to be a senator. She falls asleep in meetings. She's a predicatable disgrace, but when it comes to the ballot box, she's stronger now than ever.

Sounds like you should run against her.
Or find someone who can beat her that you like more and then dive in.

We don't need a 74 year old socialist in office to vote out the corrupt politicians in the House and Senate.

I'm voting for Bernie because i'm much more afraid of Right Wing fascism espoused by Rush, Savage and Beck than the
socialist-lite that Sanders brings.

Nope. Not a fan of socialism.

But I will support kicking everyone out of congress.

Then waiting a few years while we air out the stench.
