I don't get why they would be that worried about reporters. The entire county only has about 7500 people. How many reporters could there be on a federal holiday weekend!? I don't think that "decoy" hearse was a decoy at all.

Me either.

And I think every scandal "exaggerates" the amount of attention it is actually given from the press.

The information is actually carefully given out to certain news outlets and then picked up by others....all in a very controlled timeline.

I don't think the press tries very hard to 'get the scoop' unless they are directly contacted by those 'unnamed sources' or PR people and given the heads up to go.

I, too, need to refresh my memory and read more thoroughly. I can barely finish comments on this thread before an idea is sparked and I am off to look into something.

ETA: THIS IS AN ENORMOUS RABBIT HOLE. Like nothing I have seen in a decade. But I think controversies, like this, are more worth the time spent because if you are willing to go down a rabbit hole, you can see how many people are implicated.

(Even if you eventually give up because the web is too wide and out of your depth, it exposes so much!)

Yeah, the El Paso hearse was the second hearse though? I assumed the 'decoy' led the reportER to Alpine.

I don't know that though. I was trying to find that, just now. I did see that only the LA Times had the decoy story from a guy named 'George E. Van Etten.' He is PR for the Ranch!

Weird, right there, to me. Ranch PR is feeding this story, not law enforcement or someone official?

But it is not clear where that decoy hearse went.

I also see that it was a VAN (not a hearse) that delivered Scalia's body to El Paso. So, it sounds like it's anyone's guess, right now, where the decoy hearse went.

I would think a decoy hearse would not be sent from a fake place to the real funeral home if it was meant to throw off reportER. *lol*

Van Etten is the Ranch Manager.
Didn't an SUV leave with the hearse, as well?

Hmmm...I wouldn't call that a van. It sure looks like an 'escort' though.

"A gray hearse arrived Saturday — a decoy, Van Etten said, to distract the news media. It wasn’t until about midnight that a van arrived to spirit the body away."

This report says a van arrived at midnight...a van. I think the decoy hearse and escort were totally about something else.

That's the SUV with Alpine Funeral Home printed on it. Which is why everyone thought the hearse accompanying it was from Alpine.

The Pope's personal secretary was just found dead in mysterious circumstances similar in manner to the death of Justice Scalia.
Well now. This is curious

Mysterious death of Pope Francis aide alarms Vatican

Pope Francis’s secretary, 34-year-old Miriam Wuolou of Eritrea, was found dead earlier this week — and the Vatican is calling foul.

Wuolou’s body was discovered in her Rome apartment by police after her brother raised concern that she wasn’t answering her phone. She was seven months pregnant and suffered from diabetes, which can prove dangerous — even fatal — during pregnancy.

The Vatican, however, has called for an investigation into the woman’s death. Police have interviewed her brother, her ex-husband and her most recent boyfriend, who is believed to be a policeman employed by the Vatican, the Italian newspaper Il Messaggero reports.

Investigators will also perform a DNA test on Wuolou’s fetus to determine the paternity of the unborn child.

nypost.com...

This is probably a bit off-topic, but I find it odd that they would deny Justice Scalia an autopsy but go all-out for one for the Pope's secretary. Why???

She was young and with child. I'm just surprised the Vatican is crying foul over it.

I know. I think the Vatican is being rather picky.

I never used to think they were guilty of all of those abuse cases, but ever since I've been researching what's behind Scalia's death and how it was handled, I'm beginning to wonder if I was wrong. I am guessing that the Pope and others at the Vatican are probably working on damage control.

I don't know, maybe I'm reading too much into this.

Getting back to Justice Scalia....Something just occurred to me.

When the sheriff made a list of items on his incident report I didn't see any mention of a laptop or a cell phone. I can see Scalia not taking his laptop if he's planning on relaxing and unplugging, but his phone? No one on any report made a mention of Scalia's cell phone. If I'm spending the night at a friend's house or at a hotel I always have my phone on the bedside table.

Doesn't someone important like him always have his phone with him?

When Infowars had reporters down there I remember hearing about how bad the cell reception can be. Even so, you'd think that he would have carried something with him.

I don't remember seeing any landlines in any of the pictures I reviewed.

That poor girl and her child! The church is dead set against killing a child in the womb and, yet, they don't think twice about killing to keep their secrets!!

Assassinating to keep their secrets is theocratic warfare, not murder, in their convoluted thinking, no doubt. They are disciples of God, not assassins...remember?

This makes me think of the old saying "the first rule of assassination is to kill the assassin."

Like Lee Harvey Oswald, Jack Ruby, etc, etc.

So why use a hearse from Alpine and not from Marfa? Marfa has a perfectly good funeral home that does embalming. Do they know someone in Alpine?

I'm going to put a scenario out there. If someone knows for a fact that Guevara never saw the body, please correct me. I mean, other than what was reported as stated.

Ok, so I am going back to that language Guevara said the U.S. Marshal used:

"It's not necessary for you to come, Judge. If you’re going to ask for an autopsy, that’s what we need to clarify."

I still think the Marshal said this:

"It's not necessary for you to come, Judge, if you’re going to ask for an autopsy. That’s what we need to clarify."

'They' built in this wiggle room to shift blame onto a miscommunication if backlash warranted a shift of blame.

MAYBE Guevara did go see the body. And maybe she felt like an autopsy was warranted from what she saw. But the Marshals nixed that idea...so she wanted to leave without anyone knowing she had been there...in the decoy hearse. Sent on her way back to Alpine in that hearse.

That way, if anything came up and someone reported something unusual about the body at a later time, she could simply say she never saw the body and took the word of the U.S. Marshal that all was kosher and it looked like natural causes.

That's one possible scenario.

OMG...just look at the 'communication' described!
Link

The phone went dead, communication was spotty...they clearly wanted it to seem plausible that Guevara just misunderstood on a crappy phone line.

Scalia should have had an autopsy. It is ridiculous that we are made to feel 'odd' for expecting one.

This is exactly why people need to raise h3ll. Because it's apparent that they were preparing for if they did have 'cover' stories and shift blame. 'They' are afraid of the People.

I don't know why we don't give them enough questions to fear us.

I re-read the OP article and it DOES say his body first went to Marfa before going to El Paso. That's a little weird to me. What for?

I also noticed the article said Poindexter called the US Marshals after he called the hospital. He doesn't even mention speaking to Sheriff Dominguez. And I thought it was the sheriff who gave him the number for the Marshals. ???

Oh, I know. And the timeline of when she spoke to the US marshals is off, too. They didn't even arrive until 2:30, A full 38 minutes after her death pronouncement at 1:52.

Can I just rant for a second?

Does anybody else want to scream: "What better/more convenient conservative SCOTUS justice to OFF than the one with the age and health conditions of Scalia? What easier target to NOT raise unsurmountable questions than him?"

His frigging health issues just make me more skeptical.

Ita. And while we're at it, here's my rant:

I want to know what happened to Scalia's body. Has he been buried or cremated?

I want to see the death certificate now....as in yesterday.

I noticed that some alternative media outlets aren't reporting on Scalia as much as they used to. I don't want what happened to Scalia to fade into history without a fight.

If Scalia's body has not been cremated, a lawsuit should be commenced to retrieve the body and do a post-mortem. It would be limited because he was embalmed, but it would be better than nothing.

Lastly, I am sick and tired of how corrupt this world has become and how reluctant our politicians are to do anything right.....inc. with Scalia.

The first paragraph....

The Texas death certificate for U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia will list myocardial infarction — a heart attack — as the official cause of death, Presidio County Judge Cinderela Guevara told WFAA on Sunday.

All from spotty cell phones and no doctor present !!!
