Check this out, folks....
you think this man doesn't want to implement a theocracy?

Check out this article:

Throughout the presidential race, Cruz has been painting himself as not just the candidate of conservative Republicans and Tea Party members, but the candidate of Christians — or, at least, the Christians who share his particular brand of theology and politics.

he has vowed to implement their agenda with promises to defy the Supreme Court on gay marriage,
consider engaging in anti-gay civil disobedience,
sign sweeping anti-abortion legislation,
go after Planned Parenthood,
appoint ultraconservative justices to the bench and
block threats to religious liberty of Christians,

which he says are rampant in America. For good measure, he announced his candidacy at Liberty University, the institution founded by evangelical firebrand and conservative powerbroker Jerry Falwell.

You guys think he's still not serious about imposing a theocracy?

the Texas senator is spouting toxic rhetoric about his ideological opponents and hyping purported threats to the religious liberty of American Christians, all while courting endorsements from the Religious Right’s most extreme wing.

At times, Cruz lifts his apocalyptic rhetoric about impending dangers to freedom straight from his most extreme supporters.

Cruz borrowed Deace’s line about a gay-led “jihad” threatening religious liberty on the stump and has pushed bogus persecution stories concocted by Religious Right groups about Christians coming under assault.

I'm not going to bother linking the other sources embedded in the article.

You all can look them up.

What I'm saying is -
THIS MAN IS NOT KIDDING.

You don't want Sharia? LOL!!!! Let's try Evangelical instead?

What’s good for Cruz is bad for our increasingly diverse country.

When Cruz portrays himself as the candidate of “the body of Christ” and claims God’s blessing — and embraces the most extreme wing of his party as he’s doing it — he signals not to just non-Christians but to Christians that don’t share his particular worldview that he’s not interested in working for them.

But that is the very reason why Cruz is the candidate who the Religious Right has desperately been seeking: someone who will give them his undivided attention in a country where they are terrified of losing relevance. - See more at: www.rightwingwatch.org...

I'm just going to leave this here for you all to slug out.

For my part - I want nothing - no thing - to do with this person.....

Do you?
If so - why?

Sorry but I think your constant fears of a theocracy are about as rational as the other sides fears of socialism.

Maybe back off on the propaganda for a while.

2 cents for what its worth.

While I agree that he is pandering and saying things that certain portions of the voting public want to hear, I have to agree with Buzzy, that this man is a zealot as his father was a zealot and raised him to be also.

Okay.

Thanks for reminding me.

You're right.
mean that sincerely, too.....

but....then again....
NO.
He is not 'pandering' - he really means that stuff. Nice effort to calm me down, but ...... no.

So you're scared of a guy that threatens to defy the SC and the constitution, but you support a guy in office that threatens to defy the SC and currently defies the constitution.

I think Ted Cruz is a slimy little turd, but you can't lament Cruz and support Obama for Fing the people and doing what they want.

Like I said, just my 2 cents.

Reminds me of South Park where the losers go into the bunker only to come out later and realize their fears were not rational.
But if you want to be in fear of a theocracy it is America, enjoy. Just as I am sure many here living in fear of the socialist Bern are enjoying their fear.

To each their own.

Oh my. No, stosh ----

I don't live in 'fear' - neither of 'Sharia terrorist muslim immigrants', nor of 'You will go to hell Evangelicals.'

They are both, equally, ridiculous.
So - I guess we agree on that? I'm simply trying to alert susceptible voters - and citizens - that Cruz is no 'happier' a choice than the Iranian Ayatollah.
Don't vote him in, and we won't have to suffer through years of wasted, superfluous, ideological 'carpet-bombing'.
I'd have thought we've grown past that.

Perhaps not....

but anyway - like I said - you all slug it out.

Is it wrong to picture you in a zombie-survivalist bunker shooting anyone who has a bible with a crossbow?

Glad to hear and I do believe we agree.

I have lost any sense of hope when it comes to politicians and elections.

IMHO they all fit in the same wretched box.

I miss those days when I actually had hope that our election process could make a difference.

I do admire your enthusiasm and hope in a candidate, however I do not cling to hope in the process anymore.

Sorry if I derailed, have a great night ma'am

Oh, please! A theocracy? I don't think so. That dog don't hunt.

And, by the way, WHAT victory? Everybody says "Cruz won." Oh, really? Take a look at the delegate count:

Cruz: 8
Trump: 7
Rubio: 7
Carson: 3
Bush: 1
Paul: 1

With something like 1200+ needed to win. The popular vote percentage doesn't count. The delegate count does.

This does not really justify getting your panties in a twist.

This is not the right guy to be the next potus. The word of a magical skygod does not take presidency over our constitution. Our country was not founded on Christianity, and a nutcase smug arrogant Christian maniac is not for for office.
Boo to you Mr Cruz.... I say booo
