Wilbert Smith had a piece of a small saucer (probably a drone scout) that was shot off by a USAF pilot.....
His is an intruiging story....
The Shag harbour crash was real.....
The best real evidence is to see one for yourself....

My favorite account was my own of course - the 2013 Black Triangle UFO sighting I had, for about 45 seconds;
It made no sound; it had no exhaust; it had no visible aircraft parts; it went from horizon to horizon in about 45 seconds (I have no idea whether that is fast or slow). It appeared quite large and I could see top, bottom and 2 of the 3 sides in great detail. It changed shape into 3 other forms while I watched it, and did various other things that would get me hauled off to the funny farm if I talked about it. I reported it to MUFON and had an investigator assigned to my case, to whom I communicated quite a bit. That was my one and only UFO sighting in 54 years. Iv'e never seen any of these 'lights' or 'orbs' or 'balloons' or any of that garbage. And it looked NOTHING like a TR-3B or stealth craft.. was not a meteor swarm. It was so solid-looking.. I could see individual creases in the metal.. hand rails.. lights.. a giant search light. Anyway.. nobody else saw it, even though it was still daylight and it was apparently "low" over a city of 70,000. Must have been a hallucination or a psychotic break I know.. that's about all that most people would say.

I like 3 more cases, because I spent 5 hours talking about them and other cases with the investigator himself, Jacques Vallee (at Olive Garden near my home!)

1) Colares, Brazil 1977
2) Rendlesham
3> We discussed his satellite tracking case in 1961 that was "retrograde" when supposedly there was no terrestrial
stuff with a retrograde orbit at that time.

For those who know me, I do not believe that these, or any other "UFO sightings" which are actually anomalous, if any, are "nuts and bolts craft" but rather some phenomenon which is more of the UAP/Plasma/Perhaps mastery of the Higgs Boson
sort.

throw some more of your faves at me, or give me your thoughts on what I've listed above?

I live not far from RAF Cosford and for years it was one of my favourite cases , Aliens on my doorstep.
Unfortunately no Aliens involved in that case just a police helicopter , the satellite re-entry you mentioned and an over eager MoD investigator.

The only case I still have left is the 76 Tehran incident but think there is a logical explanation behind that too.

Always had an affinity for these events. The 1950 and 1952 Utah films of objects analyzed in this video, bearing in mind the 1952 film is the same year as the sightings in the Capitol.

The case that first got me seriously interested in the UFO phenomena in the early '70s was the Pascagoula, MS where Calvin Parker and Charlie Hickson were supposedly abducted while fishing from a pier. What sealed the validity of the case in my mind was when they were in the police interrogation room, while unbeknownst to them, was that they were being observed and never once deviated from their claim.

As an addendum I also had a UFO sighting myself a few years ago, but because I have no photos, it's not worth the abuse and disdain on the UFO forum that I've witnessed other members get when they share their stories.

Guys, are there any significant UFO sightings and/or abuductions from this century, I mean for the past 16 years?
Because everything mentioned above is from 60s, 70s, 80s... nothing from 00s or 10s.

As I can't recall any recent stories and probably don't have enough information either, would somebody fill me in with more recent cases on this subject?
Thanks in advance!

Great thread! I think JAL 1628 was my most significant report. The facts are too plentiful to be ignored, the size of the ships is something I think will need to be brought into the open at some point. (Was the ship so big because the crew were big, or just plentiful?) And the fact that the Pilot was canned and shoved in a desk after is a bit enraging, knowing that the evidence supports his claims, yet he was treated like a mental patient.

Perhaps one day.......

You obviously aren't aware of the full case. Maybe you should read the page I linked instead of coming out with a throwaway dismissal?

You obviously aren't aware of the full case

I am aware of the full case and it wasn't a throwaway dismissal , you linked to Nick Pope's account of the case which is obviously pro the incident being a UFO because he's the main promoter of it.
The object seen by RAF Police at Cosford was a rocket booster re-entry which was documented and viewable across England.

The object seen in Shawbury was a police helicopter which the meteorologist Wayne Elliott later conceded was what he saw.

“At the time it did not strike me as being something familiar,” he told me. “However, it’s clear in hindsight that what I saw was not the same object seen at Cosford as it was much later. I never made anything of it, I just reported what I had seen. Nick Pope was very excited about it and made a great deal of the fact that I was an official observer which was true. He assured me that he had checked with all the military sources for aircraft and ruled them out…I believed what I was told at the time, but now I’m convinced that what I saw has been explained. I have to accept that the noise like a humming and the beam of light are very similar to what you would expect of a police helicopter.”

As I said in my first post the case is local to me and for years I believed it was an Alien piloted UFO , I now believe what I originally posted.
For me , case closed.

JAL 1628
Phoenix Lights
Rendlesham Forest Incident
Hudson Valley Boomerang/Triangle sightings
Cash-Landrum

All of these had multiple witnesses.

I also love that St. Clair Triangle case in Chicago where multiple police officers chased and observed a giant Triangle over multiple counties.

And who can forget the Shag Harbor incident? Very compelling and fun stuff.

The Yukon mother ship incident is another I have always liked.
