This 2 minute performance just blew me away

I wouldn't normally post a thread like this but I just wanted to share this short video.

I was on youtube as sometimes like to hear cover versions of songs I like, and stumbled across this.

It comes from one of those talent singing shows called 'The Voice' (German version of the show)
I don't generally watch these type of shows but clicked on it and it absolutely blew me away.

If your a music fan and have 2 minutes to spare, please watch this video, I promise you won't be disappointed.

Whoa... stuff like that always makes me tear up lol.

He has a great voice, nerves really affected a lot of it but you tell he has a really good soul & rock voice.

WOW...........he owned it. I almost got my lighter out.

His voice was good and all, but he didn't sound anything like Elton John to me. I mean at all.
Was he supposed to?

I saw one of these with the guy that sounds like Bob Marley and THAT gave me shivers due to his exact tones and all.
No shivers with this one. If anything, he kind of over-divas all the inflections. I definitely prefer Elton's version.

I just don't get the reaction to this. What made them shift and hit those buttons so fast?

Reminded me of when Susan Boyle (?) took on Simon and that group...

I remember them sort of snickering and then...well...then...magic happened.

I suppose I should google and find out what happened to her, I haven't heard of her in awhile.

The song is a bit before my time and not my genre of choice, but I respect Elton and what he gave to humanity.

With that said, this gave me chills. That guy has talent and I give him a standing ovation.

Kudos to him.
