Over 20 Killed as Somali Forces End Siege of Restaurant

Here we go again, the gun men who were said to be Al-Shabab were shouting "Allahu akbar,".... The story goes on to talk about a (what seems to be a college or high school) kiddo that was on his way to school when he heard big boom and gunfire. Take note, he said he was evacuated "peacefully by security forces", which is odd, or just the MSM over there. ..or maybe just the verbiage.... ?

This scenario is becoming all to familiar. So it is going to link to isis, and the same tactics as in the past several episodes will play out. I am curious if we will see this in our neck of the woods, or if they just want to play ball in Kenya and Somalia. Sad day for certain. ....

MOGADISHU, Somalia — Somalia's security forces ended a deadly siege of a beachfront restaurant in the capital, with more than 20 people killed in the attack, a police official said Friday.

The security forces took control of the restaurant just before dawn, said Capt. Mohamed Hussein, speaking from the scene of the attack in Mogadishu.

It was not clear whether Hussein's report of more than 20 killed included the assailants. Islamic extremist group al-Shabab claimed responsibility for the attack, in a broadcast on its online radio late Thursday.

This is Somalia, this has been going on for decades. It is actually much more peaceful than it has been in a couple of decades. The US and France have been backing the new government and the African Union forces for a decade as they crushed radicals and warlords. The Turks are building a small base there as they have been training the Somalian Army.

As long as its happening in Somalia and Kenya...........who cares? That's a good thing, right? Let them have their playground and maybe they'll leave the civilized world alone. That's been a big part of the problem, especially in the Middle East. All Osama Bin Laden wanted was to free the Muslim world from western influence and corruption. In response, we bombed the hell out of their play ground and started a 10 million strong refugee stream. That's not smart foreign policy!
