US Political madness mmmmm.....

Why isn`t there an ISIS Political madness forum on this site - cowardice perhaps, but that`s another matter as Donald would say.

Mr Trump seems to be the political equivalent of the UK`s Corbyn - leader of the opposition "Labour" party.

An unexpected leader.

Mr Trump is a loose cannon in the best way, in that unlike Corbyn he has run a successful business and is living in the real world.

If Ronald Reagan can become President (hate term POTUS - feels so cheap?) why can`t Mr Trump.

We vote him in and watch the sparks fly.

I'm all in. The crying clown in power now set the bar.

We vote him for president over Hillary "the felon, negligent homicidal" Clinton, and Bernie "tax everyone into oblivion" Sanders.

This thread should be removed. There is no topic here. Just another useless thread created to post opinions about Trump that serve no purpose.

Do you Trump supporters get paid every time you use his name online or something??

I think that Trump is part of the Great Culling. Once the vote is over, the aliens will descend and vaporize all of those who voted for him for being utterly useless to the future of humanity.

Get rid of them all and help expose the real corruption.

Unusual for ATS telling posters to "move along there, there`s nothing to see". You sound mainstream man. Create (your own post) and don`t destroy. What you give to the world the world will give to you?

What we do is obvious..
we meme him!

Do not squander this national treasure!

Trump may indeed make America great again if he becomes el'presidente
I can think of no candidate that would unite the american people as well as Trump. Black and white, left and white, gay, straight, man, woman...
all working together to get him out of office..
also to swear off ironic voting from now on

I think his policies would bring too much bureaucracy. I also think he is too confident, and I doubt he would heed the advice of his advisors in matters that require great scrutiny. I fear he would abuse his power for his own aims. I fear he would fundamentally alter some great institutions. He's a sophist, and admitted his techniques in his book, which he is using to great effect. However, I do not know his motives and could be completely wrong. I suppose we let good ol' democracy sort out our future.

I don't understand why people think that its such a good thing or an uncommon trait for Politicians to be successful businessman?

Most of the problems in the USA are caused by CEO of private companies that hire a dream team of lawyers to draft and create the regulations that we have today. Those same regulations is what allowed the bailouts , the mortgage crisis, and the wallstreet bankers to get away with what they did. They created the rules and they made it legal to rob us blind. A thief that can create and modify the laws never gets caught.

Just about every industry that the people are fed up with has an Oligopoly behind it that is benefiting handsomely from the backs of the middle-class since they likely "consulted" on drafting those laws.

Do you honestly, think our congress is sitting around thinking what regulations to create for solving our issues? Remember Pelosi saying you must pass the bill to understand it.You think they are creating those bills?

Or does it make more sense that the Oligopolies that spend billions in lobbying and have dedicated dream teams of lawyers laying around are the ones that actually draft and create our regulations.

Secondly, Quite simply a politician IS nothing but a businessman , they negotiate on their own behave and survival. Being that most have been around for over 20 years and have robbed us blind, I say they have done pretty well as businessman .

From my view successful businessman have robbed us blind and caused all our issues. What we need is someone sincere and that treat us like adults. Present the real issues and doesn't lie about the true intentions of the bills or its consequences and solely focuses on corruption in DC.

I'm not saying being a successful businessman is a bad thing, but we have had that time and time again and that hasn't worked out to well for us. So I don't see the big deal of claiming that he is a successful businessman ,when in reality so are all politicians especially the hated ones that are still there.

I was looking at Bernie's tax plan. My taxes are 15% now, and will be 15% under his plan ...

Forbes

So, I'm cool with it. His plan reminds me more of how the taxes in the USA looked in the "golden days of the glorious 1950's" that the conservatives love to point to...

Adjusted for inflation, this is what taxes in 1955 looked like:

Looks to me like the rich are getting the tax cuts, and their wealth isn't dribbling down to the unwashed masses like we were told it would.
