Rise of the Robots Will Eliminate More Than 5 Million Jobs

The future is here folks.

I'm in IT and I'm constantly watching news and reading articles just to keep up with what is coming out.

There's so many new things out now and on the horizon that it's scary.

And if you don't adapt and adapt quickly you'll be left in the dust.

Again, I couldn't agree more. Though I think these distractions are systemic to our current culture. We will see no real progress because we can't "fight the man" so-to-speak. I'm quite a cynical person when it comes to the purpose of life, which means I see no real future for mankind except annihilation (whatever form it takes). I wish we stood a chance against our own self-destruction, but I just don't see it.

Seeing as how you understand the plight of the common man/woman, what are your thoughts for our future? What hopes do you have?
