Yes, RIP. One of my friends showed me this on their phone while I was away from the computer.

My favorite song... of ALL songs... I found it when I was about 8 in the enclosed porch of a friend of my mom;s while there was a party there. I put the album on, there are lyrics in the sleeve. I started singing. People from the party came to the porch to listen. They all clapped. Got me singing. The first one I sang in front of an audience as well:

My second favorite Eagles song:

I wasn't expecting something like that, R.I.P. Glen.
I know that the band were a disparate bunch at times, but the quality of sound and voices live were something of a bench mark..that is something that requires a heap of work all round. Glen played his part.

Here's a sound video of, 'Get over it'...there used to be a brilliant live version on line, even better than the recording.

Smooth sailing Glen.

Wow, I admit I did not connect this song to the Eagles. You know, their sound is so eclectic, it's easy to 'misdiagnose' one of their tunes. But this one... brings back memories of my son at age 3 singing this to the top of his lungs. The Eagles just touched (and continue to) so many thru the years. Across time and generations. Thanks for that clip. I stepped back in time for a spell on that one.

RIP Glenn, hope you keep rocking up there in heaven.

Favorite Eagles song has to be Already Gone. Whenever I was going through a breakup in high school / college this song summed up my feelings quite well

Greetings, Elfin friend! A few stories of sychronistic events mentioned in this thread makes me feel the Collective Consciousness was tuned in last night, to this impending loss today. The music was/is indeed playing across the Heavens...

This is a powerful line in music:

So often times it happens that we live our lives in chains
And we never even know we have the key

A new member of the band just showed up.

It's gotten some premium members lately: Bowie, Lemmy, Natalie and now Glen.

Not an Eagles song. Written and sung by Joe Walsh before he even joined the band after going solo after leaving the James Gang.

They just let him sing it in shows...just like Glen would sing his "the heat is on".

Sorry....RMWay-Joe Walsh....but they did re-record it...Joe not Glen singing.

Hey thanks for the info. I knew that was Joe Walsh singing, but Glen's definitely rockin & rollin with him.

I actually didn't know the history of that song tho, so thanks.
