So many music legends have passed on recently.

ONE of my favorites to be sure!
I told the old man and he says "Who?" "Glen Frey?" "No Way!"
See, just last night while over indulging in Vodka (devil water BTW!) we were listening to an Eagles CD!

You know I've always been a dreamer
(Spent my life running 'round)
And it's so hard to change
(Can't seem to settle down)
But the dreams I've seen lately
Keep on turning out and burning out
And turning out the same

So put me on a highway
And show me a sign
And take it to the limit one more time

I've always liked Hotel California myself. Between it and the Blue Oyster Cult's Don't Fear the Reaper, I got through college.

But I wouldn't wish him a check in there.

Awww Take it to the Limit and Desperado two of my all time favourites for so many different reasons. They both spoke to me so much in my younger free spirited days.. and now it is so sad to see some stars who I have grown up with cease to shine. Makes me realise just how precious and fast life is. R I P

Desperado, why don't you come to your senses?
You been out ridin' fences for so long now
Oh, you're a hard one
I know that you got your reasons
These things that are pleasin' you
Can hurt you somehow

Don't you draw the queen of diamonds, boy
She'll beat you if she's able
You know the queen of hearts is always your best bet

Now it seems to me, some fine things
Have been laid upon your table
But you only want the ones that you can't get

Desperado, oh, you ain't gettin' no younger
Your pain and your hunger, they're drivin' you home
And freedom, oh freedom well, that's just some people talkin'
Your prison is walking through this world all alone

Don't your feet get cold in the winter time?
The sky won't snow and the sun won't shine
It's hard to tell the night time from the day
You're losin' all your highs and lows
Ain't it funny how the feeling goes away?

Desperado, why don't you come to your senses?
Come down from your fences, open the gate
It may be rainin', but there's a rainbow above you
You better let somebody love you (let somebody love you)
You better let somebody love you before it's too late

Yes, amazing harmonies!
We have indeed lost some music greats recently. Feels like the end of an era.

Ironically, I was just at a restaurant on Sunday night with my family and 'hotel California' came on. Then I got into a huge debate with my brother on which was the greatest song ever made. He was arguing 'November rain', I was obviously arguing 'Hotel California', since it is clearly the greatest song ever made... I mean right?

Beautiful.
You know, I watch those vids of the concerts. How young they were, and it doesn't seem so long ago. Life is fleeting. Seize the moment, people. Grab hold of your life and live it!
