In recognition of the 2500th, Lockheed Martin C-130 Hercules, Lockheed put out a neat video on what it has been able to accomplish over it's lifetime.

The 2,500th C-130 Hercules was delivered in December 2015, marking a major milestone for the world's workhorse. I would not be surprised if you could load a 15K pound bomb in one called the wad cutter and drop it out the back. It descends to ground level on chutes and goes boom. It's kill zone is 1000 feet out from the center of the blast and it makes on huge LZ for choppers. We used them in Nam and now I'm sure they've got even bigger and badder bombs hauled to target by old Hercules. Long live the 130 and my best,

2500 of them, I'm so proud.......thanks for that Sammamisholdboy......I figured half that was a lot.....someone should say it.....they're the coolest look in the lifting business.....he....he .....STOL

Yeah... on my home airport, there is a small squadron of C-130s
so, I'm happy to see it almost every day. Sometimes thay even trenn over my house.

They can take-off and land on an aircraft carrier.
