Keep My Memory


Remember me fondly, do not mourn my passing,
For in your heart and mind, my soul is everlasting.
You made my life so full, I've done so many things,
If you think of me, think of things worth remembering.

Speak of me fondly, prove I made a difference in your life.
Smile warmheartedly, when you remember me each night.
I would never want to be, the one who brings you tears,
When you speak of me, be it kind words that others hear.

For when the light did fade, and I was just about to pass,
It was you, my family, that I remembered at the last.
All the laughter that we shared, the moments that we made,
Keep those memories in your heart, and I will never fade.

That made me cry thinking of my Mom who passed away in October and my Dad who I lost 8 years ago. Beautiful!
